Works great in my summer rental

I would have to pay for cable year round for the few times the summer tenants would watch tv. Wish I had bought the remote that also turns the tv on. Didn't notice when I was at the store.

Was good until the last couple of months

I’ve had Roku devices for many years. Up until now I’ve had no issue with them. I bought the stick because I did not like the menu and remote on the TV I purchased after moving to another state and leaving my RokuTV behind. The stick has worked well until recently when the apps within Roku started freezing and kicking me out. My internet connection always says excellent when it’s connected. But Roku has started to frequently disconnect from my WiFi for no apparent reason. When I switch to the apps on my TV, everything works fine so the issue is with the Roku stick. I’ve only had it for a year and it seems like it shoul be lasting much longer than a year. Very disappointed as it was easier for my arthritic hands to negotiate the Roku remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You literally have to point the remote to exactly where the devices on the back of the TV I shouldn’t have to do that. I should go into any part of my living room and point the remote and it should change the channel so my review to you. Is a two

I bought this not sure if I would be happy with it or not but so far we love it! We live way out in the country. There is no cable TV options out here at all. All you can do is some sort of wifi streaming if you can figure out how to get wifi or watch cd's. Our wifi is on again and off again and cost alot. So very happy with roku so far. Hope it continues!
