Good Headphones, Bad Personalized Case

The headphones are great, I have no problems with them. The only bad part of this product with the customized image on the charging case. I had the case for two days and the paint already started chipping away; the only thing I had in my pocket with the headphone case was a stick of chapstick. So, I’m not sure what made the paint start to chip off. I’ve had them for about a week and even more paint has started chipping off on different spots of the custom image.
I love JLB, so it kills me writing anything negative about them. So I’ll end on a good note- If you get this product, without a custom image, I highly suggest them. They’re not noise cancelling, but they’re still fantastic sound. Deep bass and pleasant mids and highs.

Great sound but...

...horrible in-ear design and case design. Whoever designed it must have really small ear canals. Always falling out and there's nothing to improve that. Also, it fits really snug in the case but you can pull it out easily to use. Keeps slipping through he fingers back into the magnetic holder. Ironically, if you have it enclosed in the case and drop it from desk height, it will easily open and scatter the earbuds all over which is easier than trying to pull them out with your fingers. Horrible horrible design. I would give it 0 stars if possible and the 1 star would be because the sound quality is somewhat good.

Case and earbuds do not turn on or charge. Cannot figure out how to fix
By Customer Support, March 22, 2022
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear that our JBL Tune 225TWS did not meet your expectations. As with all in-ear headphones, our range of TWS headphones can be susceptible to a build-up of dust and earwax. This can cause low volume on one or both earbuds, or balance issues (e.g. right earbud is louder than the left earbud). To reduce the likelihood of these issues occurring, you may periodically clean the earbuds. Using a pointed toothpick to remove larger amounts and a small amount of rubbing alcohol applied to a cotton swab for final degreasing. You could also check your phone if it has balance settings, please check if the balance is on 0 or in the middle. If you need further assistance please contact customer support at https://bit.ly/2WocMfi

2 weeks after receiving the Tune 225TWS ear buds from my son as a Christmas present. The right ear bud will not work are they listed in any update apos by JBL… after same type issues with 2 previous pairs of Endurance ear buds. No more JBL headphones ir ear buds for us. Get replacements from JBL and the new ones do the same or worse… so much for a brand I had trusted my whole life.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear that our JBL Tune 225TWS did not meet your expectations. If the right earbud isn't charging, please check if its connected with the contact pins of the charging case to ensure that it is charging. Also, try to clean all contact points, on each earbud and on the charging case. You may try to reset your earbuds by placing both ear pods in the charging box, while the charging box is plugged into a power source. Press and hold the button on the Right pod for about 5 seconds. The LED on the pod will turn off and then turn back on again. This restores the factory defaults. (Please note that charging must take place for the reset to work.). Our units only come with a one-year limited warranty, if the speaker is beyond that, please reach out to us so we can check your other options.

Battery drains while in case and closed
on May 27, 2022

Had these for 6 months, used them once, then tried to use them after two weeks - battery drained, both on the headphones and the case. Charged to full, used for a little bit, put them in case and in 3 weeks again - battery of the headphones and the case completely drained. Charged, used them a little, put away for a week - headphone battery full but case on one blinking light. That is absolutely insane. I have cheap wireless earbuds from other (good Chinese) brand, that stay in the case for 6 months and both headphones and case are at full. This is absolutely asinine on JBL's part. I wish I can say anything about the sound, but I can't. I don't cary these in my backpack, or any place that isn't home because of the unreliable battery and case. When in case and battery is charged, these should shut down, and not drain both heaphones and case in 2-3 weeks. They should have good charge 9 months at least when not used, but that is not the case. I cary with me a good brand chinese ones that actually can be used whenever I need them (because unlike JBL, the chinese ones have made proper case and headphones)

7 months later and one won't connect...

I bought these at the end of last year and not only does the right one not connect to my phone but the left one is falling apart and they aren't supported on the JBL headphones app any longer so I can't even try to reconnect my right one. Very disappointed in my purchase and feel they were a HUGE waste of money. Save your money and go with a reputable brand.
By Customer Support, June 24, 2022
You could reconnect the left and right ear buds manaully. Turn off the Bluetooth of your phone. Turn on both ear buds and press the buttons on each three times so they could connect. If you need more help, please reach out to our JBL Customer Support.

Great audio quality, but bad design
on September 27, 2022
Posted by: Prisktex
I bought my fist pair last October for a Christmas gift. After 5 months the rubber covering was peeling so bad it was cutting my ears. The right earbud began having pairing issues. I received a replacement pair. Now three months later the rubber is again peeling and beginning to cut into my ear. The right earbud is beginning to have charging issues.
The audio quality is great and I love the fit. Just needs a better design so that the rubber doesn't peel up.

Lightweight, easy connectivity, quality sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy connectivity to devices. I primarily use Apple products and have experienced zero problems with finding earbuds and connecting. You get a classic JBL confirmation tone when connecting as well as powering down.
Earbuds are lightweight. I often like to just wear one at a time to be more aware of my surroundings as a pedestrian. They provide quality sound for listening to music and podcasts. Even wearing just one earbud is sufficient and good sound.
These earbuds are useful for everyday and moderate physical activity needs.
