It works well in our 10 by 20 room, keeping the room in the low 70s during our heat wave with temps in the high 90s. Great product for the price!

Misleading Product Name but Works Okay

Labeling the A/C unit "Smart Room Air Conditioner" was more than a little misleading as this unit is entirely manual operation, with no scheduling or temperature sensing, nor wifi/bluetooth/IR or anyother wireless interface. Even the GE registration website redirected me to a walk-through on setting up my new smart home device and a specific account for it. But the AHV05LZ works well enough for a bedroom, providing cool air at a reasonable noise level, and it was an easy install.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Old fashioned and simple. Easy to understand instructions and installation. Turn the knobs to your desired cooling and walk away. No remote control to lose or the possibilities of the keypad malfunction.

Thanks to this air conditioner, my room is now Antarctica! I love it! GE definitely understood the assignment when they made these!! I wish it came with a remote but not an issuse.

Great little AC

This is checks all the boxes minus the automatic shut off. That is the only thing I dont like about this. just that feature would make this excellent did just eventually using a smart plug so this solved the problem as I control when the smart plug goes on / off.

This perfectly meets our needs for our craft barn! Blows well. Perfectly cold. If I had to come up with one con I would say the vents are not directional (left to right) and that would be helpful. Overall great purchase!!
