We'd like to help you with the cooling performance of your air conditioner. We recommend making sure there are not curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner. Additionally, check for open furnace registers and cold air returns. We are more than happy to provide guidance with this air conditioner. The mold and mildew you experienced in this machine can be caused by the unit dripping water inside the case. This can be due to the air conditioner not being slightly tilted to the outside. For proper disposal of the excess water, make sure the air conditioner slants slightly from the case front to the rear.
