So far a good upgrade from the V12. It does have a bit more suction power. The battery lasts well too. Filtration seems to be similar.

Poor build quality, failed after just a handful of uses
After only a few uses, the electrical contact prongs on the main unit bent and misaligned on their own. This is the connection point where the wand attaches, so it directly affects the core power connection.
Dyson offered a replacement, but I have no confidence the same thing won't happen again. This is clearly a design and durability problem. I've requested a full refund instead. For a premium-priced product, it shouldn't fall apart this quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exceeded expectations on replacing my old V9. The detect system is wonderful with a short hair dog around. The versatility is unmatched and unit can be dial up or down as situations warrant. At this point in time cannot imagine a better wand type vac.
It is a little hefty and a trigger lock would be nice.
If it holds up it will be a five plus star product.
