This will be my 4th Dyson, Three cordless, 1 corded. They last a long time and are the best cordless on the market. However, I am not happy that the carpet head does not handle thick carpet well at all. It is a struggle vacuuming my bedroom carpet. That's why only 4 stars. I have the V15 Absolute Detect.

I had the slim version of this vacuum prior to purchasing. I loved the slim but was unable to order replacement parts (not happy with Dyson about that but they do have a good vacuum). I thought I was just ordering a bigger version of the slim but there are some major differences I didn’t realize. This vacuum has a trigger pull instead of an on button. You literally have to hold the trigger the whole time you vacuum. I actually got a blister the first time I used it and now have a callus. To me that’s a down grade. The slim has button you push to turn on and off and it stays on until you decide to turn it off. Also the motorhead with the laser on the slim you can turn the laser on and off. On this one you can not turn the laser off. The laser is nice but I don’t like it on all the time (it can drive a person mad to see all the dust 🙈). One other thing is the weight. I didn’t realize how light the slim was until I picked it up offer using this new vacuum. The slim feels like a toothpick compared to this one. If I had to do it over again I’m not sure I would have purchased this vacuum. I either would have just replaced the slim with another slim or bought a newer version that has the button to turn on and off. This is still a good vacuum. It does a good job but in my opinion it is a downgrade from the slim.

Absolutely phenomenal! I love this cordless cleaner. Cleans very effectively. I was surprised by how much the bin can hold and just how quiet it is. I'm able to vacuum the house while others are sleeping, or hold a conversation with someone next to me while cleaning.

I have 2 small dogs (one sheds the other doesn't). I have hardwood floors throughout my condo. The V15 Absolute was recommended to me. It is exceptional!! The best vacuum cleaner I have ever had! I am obsessed with vacuuming now! I don't want to see one dog hair or anything else on my floors. The V15 Absolute shows everything and I do mean everything on the floors and gets it up!! I highly recommend the V15 Absolute! I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I've had the vacuum for about a month now and really like how it has been working. The different motorheads that come with it give me a lot of options to use in order to clean my floors in the best way. The hard floor cleaner with the green light that shows you exactly how dirty your floors exactly are is very neat and absolutely helps me do a better job of cleaning my hardwood. If there was one thing that I didn't love about this vacuum, it would be cleaning. Our carpet in auto mode can actually be somewhat difficult. We have a higher nap carpet at 3/4 of an inch and this seems to be awkward for the vacuum as it's constantly changing the suction amount from lower setting to a higher setting. When it enters the higher setting, it ends up being difficult to move the vacuum over the carpet because of how much suction it has. In low setting it seems like it doesn't have enough suction to clean it well enough in boost. It's impossible to move the vacuum so Auto is really the only setting that it's possible to have the vacuum on. Vacuum really does seem to do a good job. I just think it's not ideal for the type of carpet we have. I can imagine it would work perfectly for a carpet with a little bit less of a nap.
