My rating would have been 5 stars had the motorhead had the laser detection on it as well. I never use the fluffy attachment because it would get hair tangled all over it, I have friends with pets complain about the same thing. They should at least put a light on it, at this price point, I mean come on…

I've only had this model for a couple of weeks but I love it! I previously owned the Dyson V8 and it was great, however it needed to be replaced and I chose this V15. The suction power is superior and the green light that shows the dust and dirt, fantastic! I vacuum everyday, I have 3 dogs and a cat. This vacuum is amazing and every new parent also needs this to see what their baby is crawling in. I love that you never have to touch the dirt when emptying the vacuum.

The cordlesss V15 is a game changer!! And the laser light is such a bonus!! I feel our house if so much cleaner bc of the ease of vacuuming (cordlessness!!) and the laser light illuminating the dirt and hair. We’ve got two big hairy dogs!!

I bought this a month ago. It’s gamified my cleaning regime. It’s powerful and does a great job removing dust and cat hair from our concrete and softwood floors. Does a decent job on carpets too. Because it makes cleaning more fun, I find myself running the vacuum more often. Very pleased with how it cleans.

Super quiet, good battery length. I like the larger dirt collection canister and it empties easily. I wish that it had a switch on the button that could be locked on instead of having to keep pressure on it. My old smaller Dyson used to lay over and slide under the beds but the bigger canister and motor of my new Dyson makes it more difficult to get all the way under a king sized bed. I especially like the floor light that shows the dirt on hardwood floors.

Great suction. The green light is amazing (and could become an obsession). It shows EVERY speck of dirt, etc on your floors. I find the canister too large, makes it harder to get down close to the floor to get under furniture. It is heavier than our 11, which is not a plus for me in a cordless.

I love the Dyson V15 Detect. It’s a beautiful and powerful vacuum. The laser light on the main hard floor attachment is one of my favorite features — it reveals every speck of dust and makes you want to clean the whole house! It’s oddly satisfying.
That said, the vacuum is quite heavy, especially on the wrist and arm. The large battery adds to the weight, and while I appreciate the long run time, it does make extended cleaning a bit tiring. I wouldn’t necessarily want a smaller battery, but I do wish the weight was better distributed.
Another thing I don’t like is the lack of lighting when using other attachments, like the carpet head or the smaller tools. If you’re vacuuming in a dark corner or under furniture.
Overall, it’s a fantastic vacuum in terms of performance and looks, but it could use some improvements in ergonomics and lighting versatility.
