I splurged on the V15 and I couldn't be happier with it! It's my first stick-style vacuum and it holds up surprisingly well against the dirt my dogs and husband are tracking in. It was easy to assemble, easy to switch attachments, and I love how much it breaks down to ensure you're getting all of the dirt out (no stuck pieces of anything you have to dig out and worry about damaging your expensive vacuum).

The dust bin is impossible to thoroughly clean. It appears to be a bad design. Photo below is after emptying it. A lot of dust is released into the air when you empty it and it is very difficult to completely empty it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second Dyson stick vacuum, the first one I had was a v11 but I broke it and got tired of taping it together and decided to try this v15. I'm so glad I did! I have cats and have to stay on top of litter, hair and dust so I vacuumed daily. I love the attachments and how light this vacuum is, almost 2 lb lighter than my old one and that does make a difference. There are a lot of improvements in this version over my previous one that I really appreciate. I use it daily and I'm very happy with it.

This is the second one I bought and it seems that they have made the main attachment more secure. I bought my first one a couple of years ago and the main attachment never clicks on but it still held it securely this new one does. I just like the sound confirmation that it's secure. It works as expected and I am happy with this purchase.
