I have a rug free 3100 sq. ft home. I live with my cousin and 3 dogs. This vacuum is my 3rd Dyson. It's my least favorite...take into consideration the cost and it is NOT worth it. I used the fluffy head. I have to go over the same areas so many times the battery wears out in one room!!! It's top heavy and the fact that you have to continously push the on button is a REAL drag!!! I hate that it cannot stand up on it's own...real pain!! I used the power head a couple times and since it does not have a light, i can only imagine what it's NOT picking up. It has good suction IF you constantly use full power mode but then the battery lasts me 1/2 a room completed. NO WAY is thus vacuum worth the money!! TOTAL disappointment!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Vacuum head for carpet quit working after 3rd time using it. Battery does not last long. Vacuum should have came with a second battery

Wouldn't run out of the box. ran for 30 seconds and then it just shut down and the battery lights blinked ALOT!

Remember how when high definition television first became a thing that we all began to notice the unsubtle makeup used on the actors? The laser dust revealing feature is much the same. I've always thought our floors were clean and our dogs shed relatively little. This was wildly inaccurate, as the laser proves to us each time we vacuum. We've been using the new vacuum for 2 months now, and it is a real upgrade on what we had. We have not found the amount of runtime limiting in any way, and our hardwood floors are efficiently cleaned. The more challenging rugs are no problem for this super sucker, although it can be hard to keep the rug cleaning head spinning on carpets; usually slowing down and adjusting the height is plenty though.
I would recommend this to a friend!
