I love the vacuum on wood floors. Seeing all the dust and particles being picked up is satisfying. The carpet attachment does not work at all on thick carpet. It just freezes and shuts off. I did adjust the settings as described and it will work if I really put a lot of effort into dragging it but it shuts off a lot. I ended up doing carpet with the little couch attachment. Not my favorite experience

I just got mine, so I haven't figured out some features, like the detect light, but my initial reaction is that this is a very good machine. It's nice to see(although surprising ) all the dust that it sucks up. Amazing!!! Also nice to vacuum without a cord!
It’s powerful and works great, it’s just too heavy for me. My back always hurts after using it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really well made product by Dyson. It is a bit heavier than expected, so the mounting it is a bit challenging. I wish they had sturdier bracket for mounting since the vacuum is on the heavier side. I absolutely love the fluffy optic cleaner head - you can see all the dust particles on the hardwood floor that is not otherwise visible. Hair screw tool is a great plus too, helps when vacuuming the bathroom floors. Overall a good investment for a powerful vacuum.
I thought this vacuum was going to be a game changer. I couldn’t be more wrong. First of all, the best thing about it is that it is definitely extremely quiet. The battery lasts quite long as long as it’s in auto mode. I don’t care for the fact that you have to change heads to vacuum carpet and floors. Also I feel the particle graph is pointless. It never changes and doesn’t reset itself. You have to manually reset it. There is basically no instructions provided with the vacuum. The online chat is less than helpful as well. Not thrilled with this purchase considering how expensive it was. This is now my third Dyson and rest assured it’ll be my last.

I love this thing! You wouldn’t believe what it picks up even after I vacuum with the old vacuum! It’s actually pretty horrible and I feel better knowing I’m getting it up
So after a year the v15 we bought die. Dyson was kind enough to replace it, but a year is all it lasts? Anyway the one they replaced it with came in with a broken wand that they had to replace. So far the quality vs price is certainly not there.
