[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dust illumination is my favorite feature. It takes vacuuming to a completely new level, it is very satisfying to see debris disappear. Also, I love built-in crevice tool, I use it a lot and am very happy I won’t ever misplace it as I used to with my other Dyson. Great performance overall, absolutely worth to upgrade from an older model to V15.

Love my new Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Vacuum!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with the powerful suction of the V15 Detect Absolute! Amazing what the laser dust detection reveals on my hardwood floors! Great accessories and ease changing to a handheld. Very effective at removing pet hair. The battery life is much longer than my previous Dyson V10, it’s also much more quiet! . As an owner of several Dyson products from hair care, to fans and vacuums- I couldn’t recommend a better company to support!
Disappointed with retractable tool contained in shaft to floor sweeper. It makes the shaft too narrow for pet hair. (clogged on first time use) The V11 interchangeable (from older Dyson) shaft was swapped out for unobstructed air path to canister from floor sweeper to make the V15 usable in all floors of carpeting and hard surface. Not what I thought I would be getting with the new purchase.

Not all attachments were included and I cannot use my brand new vacuum. It appears this may be a resale although that is not the price that was paid.

Have had this vacuum for about two weeks now. We decided to invest in a high-end vacuum, did our research, and kept finding that the Dyson v15 kept trumping the rest. The design is sleek, surprisingly light, easy to handle and maneuver around corners, user friendly with a cool little screen that displays useful information like how much time is left on the battery which can give you an idea how long you’ve been cleaning if you like to manage your time and how many particles you’ve vacuumed with different sizes of particles it likes to record, battery life is excellent and defeats any corded vacuum where you don’t have to wrestle with the cord or be limited on how far you can get after you plug in with a corded vacuum, all attachments are actually useful, the size of the head is a great size that fits in a lot of small spaces, the suction power is optimal and has a setting to lessen suction on the head piece if vacuuming on rugs or carpet, and the design of the filtration is sophisticated and it does not blow out dust particles like older vacuums do. I would’ve never thought I needed to buy a new vacuum, since I never paid any attention to the world of vacuums, but I’m glad I did, because it is like night and day compared to older or lesser-quality vacuums. I used to buy used and abused vacuums or cheap vacuums, if it sucks, it sucks but now I see the difference when you have two cats in the house that leave their fur virtually everywhere. The green light definitely helps see how much dust accumulates on the ground if you have hard flooring. I’d say the green light feature is not a gimmick and helps satisfy how clean it leaves the area behind. Glad we made the purchase, I’d recommend buying the Dyson v15 or any high-end Dyson model when it is on sale. Original MSRP is pretty high in my opinion. I will gladly leave a review update after I’ve owned it for a while and I am content that it comes with a two-year warranty. Hope this review helps those out on the fence between other brands because I like to do my homework as well and I take days or weeks before I finally decide on which one to buy.

not the vacuum for us. does not work on high pile carpet, so we must return. also, i have issues with my shoulder and i couldn't not handle the weight of the machine for more than 10 minutes. we are waiting for a return response from dyson, and communication has been non-existent and we only have 30 days. we will keep trying to return it! we are going back to a canister vacuum for all reasons.

I bought this vacuum for my daughter for an early Christmas gift. They really needed a vacuum and were so happy to receive it. unfortunately the vacuum came with the wrong shaft, or was missing an intermediate part to assemble it . On a phone call with Dyson the final solution was for them To repack the vacuum, mail It back and now they are waiting for a new vacuum. Not exactly a nice surprise, and then they needed to pack it up, mail it and now wait for a new one . I'm sure it will be a great vacuum once they actually have one that fits together .
