For as much as it cost, I thought it would be better honestly. The battery ran out fast, the way it moves, feels a bit cheapy and not as smooth. You also have to be holding down the button the entire time you use it and it does not stand up on its own. I was impressed with how much dirt it picks up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you were impressed with the machine’s cleaning performance, effective dirt pickup is one of our core priorities. At the same time, we regret that other aspects of the product have not met your expectations, particularly given your investment. We recognize that battery life, build quality, and ease of use are essential to the overall experience. The need to continuously hold down the power button and the absence of a self-standing design can understandably be inconvenient, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. If you are open to it, we would be glad to explore ways to enhance your experience, whether through usage tips, recommended accessories, or a review of your model’s settings. Please feel free to contact our customer support team or email us at askdysonus@dyson.com. We are here to assist you and are continually working to improve. Dyson wishes you great health and joy!
the vacuum picks up more particles then the V8 model which I have owned for 7 years. I live with a cat, so picking up hair and dander is important. The unit moves about the floor and under the counters easily.
Outstanding design, clean. Hair goes straight to the bin as advertised which is incredible! You don’t need to have contact with the gunk as it empties flawlessly :) I’m giving 4 stars as the battery life is quite poor.
We bought the V15 a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. this is our 3rd Dyson with the other two being used elsewhere in the home. We w shocked and surprised to see how much dog hair was still on the floor after using our V11 despite vacuuming frequently. Having the lighted floor head has make all the difference and worth the price. Our only disappointment was that it didn't come with the wall attachment holder:(
This is my first Dyson vacuum. The battery in my previous vacuum died and so I needed a new one. After all the rave about Dyson vacuums I decided to splurge. However, after my first month of used it I'm really not impressed and regret my financial decision. I like that it is lightweight and thin. The sucking power when I'm using it like a dust buster is great, however, it honestly is terrible in its stick form for many reasons. First, the roller on the bottom, their signature look and function does not work well. It doesn't seem to roll smoothly and I feel like it scraps against the flor, rather then gently glides which is what I was expecting (like every other vacuum). Second, the roller doesn't bend the head of the vacuum. If I need to change angles of how I'm vacuuming, I have to manually bend the head to the angle I need in order to reach under objects, this is super annoying, I mean think about how often you change the angle when our vacuuming. I'm better off vacuum the floor with the dust buster attachment. Finally, it doesn't suck when vacuuming backwards. When I vacuum in a forward motion it is a pain but it gets the job done, however, when I pull the vacuum backwards not only doe sit not suck up debris on my lvp floors but it throws the dirt all around the room. I think I got a dud! The other part that I don't really like is the way the canister empties. The canister cover slides down to top debris but things such as pet fur and hair get stuck and I have to fiddle my fingers and wire brushes to completely clean it out. When cleaning out the couch from kid crumbs it works great! It sucks up every little parcel of dust and debris which is great. Overall, it's a very expensive dust buster. I am very sad. I honestly might end up buying a cheap vacuum and only use this Dyson to clean my couch. If your heart is set on buying a Dyson, buy a refurnished one, you will probably have better quality control.

Thank you for your detailed review. We are pleased to hear that the vacuum has been effective for spot cleaning and is lightweight in use, those are exactly the benefits we strive to deliver. However, we are truly sorry that the stick vacuum functionality has not met your expectations, especially considering your investment. The concerns you raised, such as the roller not gliding smoothly, limited head flexibility, backward suction on LVP floors, and canister challenges with pet hair, are important, and we sincerely appreciate you bringing them to our attention. Feedback like yours plays a vital role in helping us improve our products and user experience. If you are open to it, we would be glad to explore possible solutions, whether by reviewing your unit for potential defects, offering tailored usage tips, or recommending accessories better suited to your home environment. Please feel free to contact our support team or email us at askdysonus@dyson.com with your product details, and we will do our utmost to assist you. Thank you once again for your valuable input. We hope to enhance your experience and restore your confidence in our products.
I am really impressed with the V15 detect Absolute so far. I really need to order an extra battery though because I have not been able to finish the job without recharging. I do have lots of floors and 2 cats and 2 dogs so I probably have more animals then most. The soft fluffy attachment could have more power for the corners but I do love it and would recomment this unit.
First off, it appears to be superior to the older model I'm replacing which I hoped would last longer. Out of the box last week it was not entirely intuitive as to how to connect the wand since your diagrams, photos and instructions are out of date. Why would anyone put a brush attachment inside the wand? Yes, I figured it out. Tried it out with the Fluffy Optic Cleaner head which is amazing! However, it almost immediately stopped working saying the airway was blocked. Apparently not the issues as I cleaned it and the whole machine. Support via phone was extremely helpful(slightly difficult to understand the Indian accent) and finally it was determined the head was faulty and another was sent out free of charge using the warranty. Hopefully it will arrive today. So work on your quality control guys! Otherwise it seems to pick up dog hairs nicely, I love the light, the battery is sufficient and it gets into corners. The large motorized head is a big heavy and noisy compared to older models but after I receive my replacement Fuzzy Optic Head I shouldn't need it. Overall the item is very nice, very Dyson pricey of course(but I'm a loyal customer) and at first glance, I highly recommend it.
