how did i live my live without the dust light attachment? it's changed how i have vacuumed and cleaned. i can even see spots i need to mop and make note of them for later! the battery is great, i like the timer that you can see as you vacuum. my only complain thus far has been, gosh i wish there was a light when using other attachments--especially the crevice tool. and perhaps one small nitpick, when emptying the collection bin, sometimes hair and dust will accumulate in the very back (top?) of the container so it is a little hard to reach.
We have had this vacuum for about a month. It feels a bit heavier, bought for my mother to use and it is a bit heavy for her. Wish that there was just an on switch and not a trigger to squeeze while in use. Suction was great and battery has lasted while in use.
Love this thing, the green laser is everything. It makes cleaning more effective. My only issue was the initial directions for set up does not tell you that one of the short arms is the first part for the long arm so it’s confusing how to attach the long arm pieces. But after watching the correct YouTube video, we have enjoyed using it. Eco setting is ok, I usually keep it on auto or the high mode especially for clean up like cat litter.
I bought this less than a month ago. I have 2 other Dyson's. The original one I got for Xmas in 2017. Another Dyson v15 Absolute for Xmas 2024 & a 2nd Dyson v15 Absolute for my trailer just about 3 weeks ago. I bought a cheaper off brand model but there was a design flaw in it, so I sent it back, & figured I'd go back to my tried & true, Dyson. This model really sucks. I mean it gets the dirt out of my carpets, sand, & everything else that accumulates in my home & trailer. I got lots of attachments for cleaning, floors, carpet, upholstery, nooks & crannies. I can get under my couch & beds easily with this vacuum. The battery lasts long enough for me to clean a LR & 3 BRs with carpeting, & a Kitchen & DR with ceramic floors. I love the light that shows where the dirt is on the floors so I don't have waste any better life by going over a floor a few times just to make sure I get all the dust up. Emptying & cleaning out excess dirt from it, is simple. Cleaning it out is easy. I had to go look up on YouTube how to assemble it because it is different than the other Dyson I have even tho it's the same model. I really like how it captures the dirt. Even the finest powdery dust is caught in the dirt bin. Oh, and suction power is really great. The two things I feel are a drawback is the dust bin is quite small compared to my original Dyson, & it's heavy; heavier than I expected especially if I want to lift it up to vacuum high places. I give this vacuum 4.5 *
We received our V-15 last week. I read all of the owner’s manuals and Learned how to use the attachments. I’ve used the vacuum cleaner twice, cleaning (3) rooms with carpet the day and then cleaned (3) rooms with hardwood floors. Tomorrow, I be cleaning (2) bathrooms with vinyl floors . OS: the hardwood tool with the green lights is my favorite. Our Kitchen Vinyl herringbone design had hidden dust in almost all the joints. The room actually smells clean!
I like the green light; it helps me see dust better. Hope all the attachments have a green light. It makes me do more vacuuming. The vacuum head is too heavy, and I don’t like the fact that I have to hold the button to operate it.
Here’s the thing; when you’re buying this sucker, you’re buying at least three vacuums in one. It’ll vacuum your carpets and rugs as well as your hardwood and tile floors, it’s a handheld you can use on blinds and tables and stairs, and it’s powerful enough to clean couches, sofas and mattresses as well. When you switch it to super-suck? There’s nothing it can’t handle. Two thumbs way up!
I used to have Dyson vacuum cleaner before with cord, still loved it from the first minute I got it. Now, about 10 years later I got old(er.., 71 yo), and moved to a smaller house with only 2 bedrooms, and needed a light weight cordless vacuum with at least the same good performance as my old one. First I found the V8 a few years ago and was glad that I could buy it while on sale. I might got somehow obsessed, because when I saw the V15 on sake I just had to have it. No way anything would beat it!! It is perfect for every phase of a thorough cleaning and more. In the meantime, I do it (almost) dancing!! Thank you Mr. James Dyson!!
