I purchased the vacuum cleaner a couple of weeks ago. This vacuum is a game changer. My floors and carpets are so much cleaner. I had no idea how much dirt was being left by my old vacuum cleaner. It is expensive but worth every penny.
I have had this vacuum about 3 weeks and it does a great job. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is hard to push on carpet. Really gives you a workout when cleaning the whole house. Overall a good vacuum.
I've had this about 3 weeks. With a golden retriever and two cats the dust, dirt, hair need to be cleaned daily. An easy task with this vacuum! Difficult to put together.
This is our third Dyson vacuum in just over 30 years - the two initial purchases are still operational but they've put in their time and are sitting on the sidelines (for now) while the V15 struts its stuff for us. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Dyson, you've really surpassed our expectations with this one - wow, wow, wow! You had us at the packaging; the clever way you use cardboard to secure all the bits and pieces - couple that with the V15 charging station which is designed to mount aligned to the older version (Dyson Animal). Then just charge that battery and go - and the V15 really goes - the suction is way beyond what we had with our previous models and when that is coupled with the automatic adjustment to floor types - whew! We are truly blown away by this purchase and delighted to say we are die hard Dyson fans. Thanks to you!
I bought my Dyson V 15 About one month ago. It does a fantastic job, vacuuming up cat hair and litter Which is the primary reason that I bought it. Very satisfied.
I recently bought the Dyson V15 stick vac to replace the DC59 that I bought i 2014 when it was first available in 2014.
I recently purchased the Dyson V15 stick vac to replace the DC59 vac that I had purchased in 2014 when it was first made available. I am a true fan of the Dyson product but was skeptical about the larger and heavier new V15. I thought it would be less convenient and comfortable to operate but once I discovered the changes and improvements made to the vacuum, I was delighted with it. The first thing I noticed is that the V15 is less noisy which I consider to be a major improvement. The motor is larger and does a noticeably better job of cleaning, and the hepa filter is larger and easy to wash. Though the wand must be removed from the bin for emptying the dust and debris, the plunger completely pushes the material out of the bin. In the old unit, dust and lint got stuck inside the canister and I had to devise a slim tool to pull the material out.
Though the carpet attachment may also be used for tile and wood floors, the special lighted "fluffy" brush attachment for hard surfaces is amazing. Particles and debris are lit and visible for complete clean-up and the fluffy brush removes even fine dust. This attachment will be especially helpful in the kitchen should one need to vacuum up small bits of broken glass or crockery.
The V15 has a longer running time and the indicator for battery usage is helpful. Even the docking station for the vacuum is better designed and easier to use. In all, I am very pleased to have upgraded to the Dyson V15. It's a superior vacuum.
Have owned Dysons for many years. Their after-sale support is very strong (Batteries failing), sending replacement parts at no cost, etc.
This is an excellent product, BUT the rug attachment fails completely. The rear rubber gasket forms too tight of a seal so it starves the rotor: Doesn't turn; sucks up the rug (even heavy ones.)
Seems to be a complete design failure, and is noted on many of the chat forums.
