This is my first Garmin and I splurged to buy the best unit garmin made the 1050. I feel super stupid because after hours of you tube videos and going through the manual I can’t figure out how to start a basic simple ride. in addition there are so many other features that I can’t seem to figure out. I think maybe I bought way over what I needed. Needless to say I am tempted to ask my IT tech at our company to help me.
Enjoy the new screen and features. It was a big jump from my 530. However, it is a complete nightmare getting it to sink to Garmin connect after each ride. 20 minutes easily and I can not get it to connect to my WiFi. Never had this issue with my old computer. Have trouble shot it and nothing seem to correct it. Seems as if there is a software update needed.
I had an Edge 520 Plus... needed to upgrade to something that could handle a 5 hour ride with sensors connected. The 1050 is a world of difference with incredible battery life, a bright touch screen and the electronic bell. What am finding really beneficial are the automatic reminders to eat and drink! Hoping it will really help me prevent bonking!
Love the color/detail and vibrancy of the new screen. World of a difference to the 1040. Wish it has solar tech included given the shorter battery life.
I had been using my Garmin D2 Mach 1 watch for the last couple years, avoiding buying a computer. It was time and I'm glad I did. This thing is bright, fast, and has more functions than I can even comprehend. It was super easy to setup, automatically transferring all my sensors and settings. There are still a few things to learn and work out, but I am highly impressed with the product. My only squawks are, for the price, it should come with a sapphire crystal screen and a case.
