Garmin 1050 - love it but struggling!

The Edge 1050 is a beast ! side note: the jubilation of ownership is diminished with a LONG learning curve to familiarize and used all that the 1050 offers. It takes a few minutes before the ride to get all the sensors on line between the speed, cadence, HMR-PRO - Varia RCT 715, front and rear lights and the enduro 2 watch. Struggling to synch the electronic gears to the 1050. During the ride its info overload, screens, data and what are all these sounds it's making and which has precedence the 1050 or the Enduro? more mysteries to be solved! The real game changer is the situational awareness provided by the Varia RCT-715! This is an absolute necessity for anyone who rides on the roads. Again - a steep learning curve but slowly getting through trial and error. Garmin makes superb equipment. Hope to benefit from it all soon.

I love my Garmin cycling computer. It has all the great functions for workouts and navigation and the new display is awesome. Easy to read and very bright.

Stopped working 1 week after purchase !!!!

I love Garmin products and I have been using them for a while but this Edge 1050 was absolutely the only exception.. it kept freezing up while while biking, tried restarting it over and over literally 1 week after purchase. so not sure if the entire line has an issue or just mine was a lemon but I sent back within 30 day for hopefully full refund - I bought 1040

Great display

I upgraded from a Edge 1040 Solar because I wanted a brighter display. I wasn't disappointed, this computer is very easy to read and navigate with. My only complaint is that I can't set mileage in the odometer field for a profile. Kind of makes the odometer reading meaningless, especially when updating computers.

I am loving the 1050! I feel so much safer on the bike now. I can hear the alerts of a car behind me, turns when I navigate and I can easily see the screen so that I spend much less time, looking at the screen and instead focus my attention on the road.

I purchased the Garmin Edge 1050 when I bought my new road bike. Have been riding with my new bike and computer now for about a month. The 1050 has proven to be all I expected it to be which has been nothing short of great. Recommended.

Awesome sceen clarity

Screen size, clarify and touchscreen responsivness are superior to prior older Garmins used. Lets me easily see screen while riding, especially navigating. Have not fully utilized all the training stats yet.
