Love it! I can see data again!!

I've been using for about 3 weeks and have had a great experience since upgrading from an 830. The screens are very visible and very customizable. I love that the Varia radar tone is louder than the other tones set on the unit. I've had zero issues getting RWGPS routes moved to Garmin Connect and on to the 1050. I wish it were a couple ounces lighter, but not a deal breaker. I haven't used the bell yet 'cause I forget it's there :) I still have a lot more to learn to get the full capabilities, but so far... LOVE IT!

Very nice upgrade

Overall very pleased with the 1050, I upgraded from the 1030. Screen view is nice and bright and the auto bright works well. The hazard warning is nice BUT can be frustrating since it notifies of issues nearby and not necessarily on the road you are on. The vast majority of the notices I get are from several streets over from where I am. I will most likely turn this off as it is more annoying than useful. Another issue is the bell. Maybe it’s me but it’s 50/50 when I double tap that I get the bell sometimes I just end up opening another screen that has a button for the bell by the time I realize the problem I've passed the individual. I hope the battery does not swell up and pop out the screen as it did on my 1030. One last thing the thermometer seems to be useless as it way over reads the ambient temp (same as in the 1030). I realize the computer itself gets extra hot with the sun hitting the clear screen. It would be nice if you could have the weather report temp read on the main screen and not just on the sub level.

I am blown away. The difference between this and my Edge 830 is monumental. Vast improvement in screen clarity and color. Super fast. Love the bell.

Mostly great bike computer

Overall a very nice bike computer with a large screen to show lots of data. Data field options are extensive with both numerical and graphical options available for many kinds of data. The user interface needs some improviement though. For example, if you create a new custom data page in your road profile there is no way to copy that same data page to your gravel or mountain bike profile - you have to manually re-create it field by field. why? If one of my friends like one of my data pages there is no way to share just that page with them. The only option is to share the entire profile, which will overwrite anything they have customized on their device. Both are fairly minor things but to me it shows a lack of attention to detail on the interface design.

Love it I use it all the time. I just wish it was. There was an AI with it connectivity but one downside is it’s hard to connect with my Garmin watch the FA. I wish it was more compatible that I just automatically senses the heart rate on there this one to wear heart rate that an AI you guys do that there’s nothing else you guys have to do

Bright display I can actually read in direct sun light- as I use for navigation and radar, it is perfect for aging eyes.

Switched from a Wahoo Elmnt bolt because I wanted integration with my Fenix watch and Insta360 cam. I was nervous about changing from Wahoo after about 4 years of use. The Edge 1050 is very easy to figure out. Really intuitive and soooo many features. Couldn't be happier.
