I got these for the ability to put my hands in different positions. I switch back and forth between these and the nylon ones. These are very sturdy, I'll probably eventually have to replace the nylon ones, these will last my whole life.
Each handle is good for different things, I like the nylon ones for triceps, these ones for chest presses. But I switch them around quite a bit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought these handles to replace the handles my Total Gym Fit came with as they were snagging shirts (I ruined quite a few!) when doing side twists. Unfortunately these handles are no better and do the same and on top of it my small hands have a hard time griping both handles in one hand when doing the side twists. I wish I did t but these handles and now I have a bunch of expensive workout shirts with holes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

These are exactly like the original handles on my Total Gym 11000. Some people like the closed design but I prefer these. They were shipped fast. I deducted one star because I find them expensive for what they are. They are durable though. The old handles I had lasted almost 20 years !
