I received for free the Canon MB5420 on August 15 for evaluation. I unpacked it and set it up right away. There was no real assembly needed, so setting it up was easy. I used all the features of the printer a great deal. . In most cases it met or exceeded my expectations. The print, and scan features performed great, and I was impressed on the speed and quality. The Fax print out was also good quality. The only problem I had was with coping. The quality was good, but it was somewhat slow. It took several minutes to make a copy. The overall quality was very excellent, and I would recommend this printer to a friend or Family member.
Overall I love this printer although there is one minor concern. I've used this printer for about 3 weeks and I love it. I should mention here though that I received this Canon printer for free. The printer was fairly easy to use straight out of the box. I think its about average size for a printer that has all of the bells and whistles this one does. I hooked it up pretty quickly. There's an app that you can download which lets you print straight from your table or mobile device and it was also easy to install and use. The printer prints documents and photos really fast and the image and text quality were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by how great this printer was. The only thing I am concerned with is that the ink is a little bit costly. But I think its a little costly because of how many prints you get from 1 cartridge. Again, overall I love this printer. It would be good for a small office or home use.
I received a free sample of this printer to review, and I was very pleased with its performance. The setup process was very simple, and I was amazed at how the computer and printer communicated so quickly. There was very little that I needed to do to facilitate the setup process, other than download the setup software and click "next." The document printing performance is excellent, as well as the quality of the print and the brilliance of the color. The scan feature is quite simple as well, and you can easily specify a folder for your scans to be saved. This is a more user-friendly than my printer at work, and I thought it was pretty simple in the beginning. The only feature that I did not utilize was the fax feature, since I do not have a landline. But I'm sure the fax process would be just as simple as the rest. This printer is extremely user-friendly, fast, and has great quality. I honestly don't have any complaints about the performance of this multi-functional printer. It's everything that I would need!
This All-in-One was sent to me for review, and I must say I am not overly impressed. It is large- though not heavy, and I have had to go out and buy a night stand for it to go on due to the size ( 19"w X 15"l X 14"h). Though it appears very simple to use, I can not get it to connect wirelessly to my computer and had two buy 2 cords (one to plug it into the router, one to plug it into my computer). Other than that it was easily set up. It makes copies just fine, but I can not get it to scan. And, when you print it is pretty loud and shakes the table it is currently on (I am waiting for the night stand to come in). I have no need for the fax feature, so I can not give an opinion on that. The touch screen menu is nice, but it beeps pretty loud any time you select a feature. If your ink is running low it will tell you, and you can even pull up what type of ink it is and print the page out to take with you to buy more. I looked up the All-in-One and noticed that it is also quite expensive. For an business this would probably not be a bad investment-granted you can get all of the functions working. However, for my small office and home it is much to large.
I received a free sample of this printer to review. This is one of the better small office multifunction printers I have came across. I`ve worked for a small company for a number of years now. Our print volume doesnt justify buying one of those big, super expensive multifunction printers. But we still print a lot (couple thousand pages a month). Print quality is above average (we printed a couple hundred photo flyers), print speed is great, very easy to set up as long as you have a person in your office that at least knows how to install a printer. It also has just as many features as the super expensive ones. As far as improvements, I would like to see the cost of ink reduced. Its pretty much in line with the rest of the printers in its class...but still annoying. I would also like to see the ink be used more efficiently, which I understand is difficult. Both issues kinda factor in with the cost of doing business. I recommend it.
This printer is incredibly easy to set up and use upon the first try! It prints incredibly fast and the paper feed pulls each page straight (without jamming). The latter being an issue on many machines I`ve used in the past. I should mention that I was offered a free sample to use in exchange for my unbiased review. My favorite feature of the Canon Maxify MB5420 is the duplex printing option. It was completely seamless and printed so professionally. Also, I have printed over a hundred pages with hardly any ink being used, so the yield is truly high. Additionally, the look of the printer is very sleek. It is compact, black, and modern. Overall, I am overjoyed with the quality, quickness, design, and functionality of this printer. I highly recommend.
I received a free Canon Maxify MB5420 sample printer in exchange for writing a review for the product. Overall, I was very happy with the product! The printer itself prints fast and prints well. The ink cartridges are small, and not bulky, like most office cartridges I deal with. My favorite feature is that it has AirDrop; meaning you can use the printer wirelessly! As long as it is connected to the same Wifi as your device (smartphone or tablet), one can send anything to print directly from your device to the specific printer mentioned (my, how far we have come with technology)! You can also plug it in via USB, or ethernet and print as well. It was quite easy to assemble, only taking about 15 minutes in total (and that is with reading instructions); the only difficulty I ran into was inserting the cartridges with the initial set up, because I did not have it pushed in all the way. However, a little notice on the screen popped up, informing me that it was not properly placed. The screen on the front is touch screen. The product itself was slightly heavy (weight could be improved). Another feature I did not see that I would like it to have is a "sleep mode/energy saver mode." The only feature I was not a fan of (besides the weight), was that the adjustable tray that holds the paper has to protrude out, and not slide back into place. I fear that if people hit into that, they may damage their printer in the future. Regardless, the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to this product, and bottom line: I`m recommending to family and friends for the fast, well done printing job, and AirDrop feature!
I received this printer as a part of a review in exchange for my honest feedback. Overall, this printer is on par with all the HP printers I have used in the past. I have been using it for 2 week and the print quality is great. I like the speed and it was really easy to set up. I turned it on, entered my wireless info on the touch screen, and it in a matter of minutes I was able to start printing. It took longer to unpack and take the tape/plastic off then it did to set up. With all ink printers I am always concerned about the amount of ink it uses because the ink ends up more expensive then the printer. So far, it doesn't appear to be a printer hog and the ink should last a while without getting replacements. So far I have printed several pictures, documents, and graphics and the ink levels have barely moved. Scanning and coping is a breeze. i haven't used the fax because I rarely fax anything but I imagine that works well too. I like the large capacity tray the best. My kids are always taking the paper out to draw and with my HP printers I was always running out of paper, but that problem doesn't exist with this printer. I also like how quiet it is, you can barely hear it printing. Overall, I have no issues with this printer. All the functions work really well, its very easy to use - the interface is great! I have always used HP printers but I would seriously consider this Canon if I were in the market.
