Don't buy a Dymo Label Writer Twin Turbo

I have a Dymo Label Writer Twin Turbo. The software only sees a Virtual printer, it does not see the printer! The OS sees the printer and can print a test page. I tried the usual turn off/remove software / reboot. There is NO power button to press multiple time!!!
What a load of rubbish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Basically everyone on here is saying the same. Software sucks. I have to connect the printer AFTER installing the software. Sounds easy enough. Except that doesn't work. And if I connected it first, then what should I do? No instructions. Perhaps you are doomed forever and have to return the printer and buy one from another company. I tried uninstalling the software and drivers and restarting my computer (keep in mind I did follow the instruction to install the software first in the first pace!). Still, does not seem to detect my printer. Perhaps they think this will make people upgrade to their latest printer? Well I don't think they understand how it feel to have such a crappy product experience.

Additionally, the LW 450 Twin Turbo is compatible with two different DYMO software options: DYMO Connect and DYMO Label v.8. You can find both on our website along with details on which may suit your needs better.
If you have connected the printer before installing the software or are still facing detection issues, we recommend uninstalling both the software and printer drivers, then restarting your computer. Afterward, reinstall the software and connect the printer only when prompted.

Not sure who's runnin' the ship, but usability (for example, the option to simply have wrapping text...like we did in the 1990's) is unavailable. Many more quirks too long to list. If you are tech-inclined, you can hack the system...sorta.

Not easy to use. Print orientation is pain. Suddenly, the printer started to print vertically instead of horizontally. No idea how is it happening.

In windows 11 Dymo connect hangup if you wanna try to add text! after hours i understand why... i have in my fonts folder over 5700 files... and hung up for 8-10 min!! If you wanna add extra text again the same... Of course the problem not exists in windows 7,8,10.. please give a solution!!

It seems the problem you are facing is related to the large number of fonts installed on your system (over 5700), which is causing delays when adding text in Dymo Connect. Dymo Connect does not install fonts, so the issue likely from the number of fonts installed on your machine.
The best solution would be to reduce the number of fonts in your fonts folder, as this will likely improve performance. Additionally, Please know that we will forward the information to the appropriate department.

I've been using labelwriter printers for just shy of 20 years now. I have owned multiple 450 twin turbos. I agree wholeheartedly that the latest dymo software is absolute garbage compared to what they had 15+ years ago. Bring back the old software.
I have used the Label Writer 450 Twin Turbo for over decade now. It was a great product until the past few years and even worse now since they went with the Dymo Connect instead of the desktop version software. I am very saddened to see this product go down hill so badly. I have 4 printers and have issues with all of them now. I used to recommend this printer but will not do it any longer

I have LOVED my Dymo printer for years, but now the software will not open, and I've tried the Dymo Connect...it's HORRIBLE! No functionality to use dual fonts on a label that I can find. It really makes my labelwriter useless! Unfortunately, I've talked many depts here at Berry College into using the Twin Turbo and everyone keeps coming to me for an answer on what to do... I want my old software back, and YES, I've searched for it on your website!
