Works great and has a quality build

I've been using this adapter because my laptop is missing a lot of these ports. It seems to be the trend these days (unfortunately) to remove ports and only include usb-c ports. Anyway, this is the perfect companion dongle adapter as it includes all the ports I needed. I've used all but the power delivery port and everything is working great. The aluminum finish is also much nicer than the plastic most of these come as.
I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Problems with Wi-Fi

When we connect the screen monitor to HDMI port the Macbook's performance is low suddenly, and the Wi-Fi has a lot of issues.

Great mix of features

I'd really like this to have the HDMI slot on the back; don't need that thick chunky cable looping around. I'm not using it right now, but I think the Ethernet port would be better on the back too. agian, for cable routeing considerations.
Thought I had problems with my phone, but it turns out the phone needs to be set to PTP to work through this device.
Main criticism is the very short USB C lead. I'm having to use a USB extension lead - the red plug in my photo.
