I was skeptical when I received the new cover. I have had my grill for many years and have always used the Weber cover. The old cover I had was much heavier, but I have found the new material seems to be much easier to use when covering the grill. It appears to have good protection, now we will see how long it lasts. I like it!

The new grill covers are not nearly as thick as what they used to be. I purchased this cover to replace my 8 year old tattered one, and was very disappointed in how thin they have become. Granted, the new cover has a 3 yr warrantee, so if after the winter, freeze, and thaw it doesn’t hold up, I know what I’ll be doing.
I would have to own the cover throughout all seasons to determine if the thinness is a problem, especially pulling it off the grill in the middle of winter when it is frozen stiff. Hopefully it holds up since I use my grill quite often in the winter.
I like that the ends are adjustable with the Velcro closures.
I use this on my Summit Platinum D4 because I want the extra width and length to cover the entire grill, wheels and all. In the middle of winter, when the cover is stiff, the extra width helps because it is easier to remove without catching on my side plate and side tray. I will update my review after a year of use.
