Great display but poor integration with Mac

I've had this monitor for about 18 months. The display itself is great, very bright and crisp. I also love the arm the mounts right to my desk. The single USB-C cable to my MacBook is both a blessing and a curse. I love that it passes both video and charging power with the MacBook over a single cable. But the monitor's USB-A ports are only 2.0 so they really limit the speed of an Ethernet interface. And There are almost no USB-C hubs that pass both video and PD charging on a single USB-C cable So what was a nice feature turned into a very difficult problem when I simply wanted to add a USB 3.0 port behind the monitor. A Selore MacBook hub eventually provided an acceptable workaround. But that wouldn't have been necessary if LG had supported USB 3.0 ports instead of the much slower 2.0 ports. Additionally the speakers and audio out seemed like a good feature but they don't respond to the Mac's Volume Up/Down buttons. So I needed to buy yet another USB dongle for simple audio out instead of using the monitor to provide audio. So many of the seemingly useful features are poorly implemented and thus I give this monitor 3 stars.

After watching a million You Tube reviews, this was the Monitor I had to have when I bought my new M1 MacBook Pro. Extremely easy set-up and needed zero calibration.
I purchased this monitor recently and have really enjoyed its features. It has beautiful 4K resolution and the stand is very modular. The ability to connect to my laptop via usb-c and provide both image and charging functionality is very useful. I no longer have to attach the cumbersome power brick that my laptop came with. Great product, excellent user experience. Well done LG.
Pros: ease of use, Quality, Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance
The 4K panel is fantastic. Great picture quality, brightness and off-angle viewing. I'm driving the panel from a 16" M1 MBP via USB-C. The panel provides 60W of power which has been more than enough to keep my laptop charged while working. The panel is great, but the ergo stand is even better. I have the stand mounted through a desk grommet and the stand is incredibly stable and easy to move around. I get zero monitor movement when bumping the desk. The ergo stand is incredibly well built with very solid materials.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG 32 inch ultrafine display is one of the best 4k displays on the market. It has great picture quality and is very ergonomic. The display was working great for the first week, but then the USB c port stopped working. Still able to use the HDMI port for now. Assuming this issue will be covered under the warranty.

This monitor is everything I'd hoped it would be. I want another one. I use it in a photography studio environment, all my clients and co-workers approve as well.
Pros: ease of use, Quality, Style/Design, Performance
I've had this monitor for over a year now. I love the ergonomics of the stand and all of the placement options. I do video, photography, and music, and this monitor serves me for all three. I use this with my M1 Mac Mini and I have zero complaints. The joystick menu button is a little cumbersome but once you get used to it, it's not a big deal.
