All around use

Ive had the silencer BT 2.0 and changed it to an axil xcor. seeing the disrupter, i thought that it would be an improvement on the xcor. i tried with two planks banging and my really loud truck horn and it worked well. so i went to the range today and found these as my pros and cons vs the axil xcor
pro:
case has a loop and would be very useful to attach to bag key holders
app is good with the equalizer and intuitive controls
music sound is good
phone audio is good
there is noise reduction albeit a different tone
connects to bluetooth easily
con:
a bit heavier than my axil xcor
gunshot sound is higher pitch compared to my axil
case is bigger than axil
it felt like the foam tips would not be too snug (medium tips used) and i was concerned they may fall out as the foam expands (i used the small, but they were loose on me)
i felt that i was more comfortable with the axil when shooting (although the phone audio of the axil is really low and bad)

For Outdoor Use

Probably better outdoors. In an indoor range it’s barely adequate with small caliber pistols. The Bluetooth works well. Might be better for hunting.

Protecting what’s left of my hearing

Bought these to help with conceal carry/security. So far haven’t used them for this, but they work great on high frequency during tractor use. These don’t amplify sound so don’t use as hearing aids. I have a significant hearing loss. Will get to range soon.

App needs work

Sound quality is ok. Suppression is satisfactory. The game ear app constantly crashes, making it impossible to change settings. I would rate better if the app would work consistently.

Not reliable and too frustrating to use frequently

My wife purchased these for me as a gift and at first I was really, really excited. These have the best reviews and a lot of positive press. That is what made my disappointment twice as bad.
The app is useful for seeing what is going on and mostly pretty good. No real complaints.
The headphones themselves aren't as good as the app.
All in all these headphones/ear protection are just ok trending to not worth it. When all is well they work as advertised as both wireless headphones and very convenient hearing pro to use while shooting. Unfortunately they are REALLY "fiddly".
Charging the case and the headphones is hit and miss. Sometimes the headphones charge and the case doesn't. Other times the case charges but one or both of the headphones don't charge. The app lets you see what the charge status is of each component so it’s real clear.
More often than not when I use the headphones I'll find that the one of the ear buds hasn't charged. I have taken to tapping the case on the counter after I reinsert the ear buds after use just to ensure that they are well seated in the charging case. It doesn't matter. Sometimes both ear buds recharge and sometimes they don't. Very frustrating.
Also the ear buds won't disconnect reliably when I place them back into the case. Very frequently they'll stay connected and the battery in both the ear buds and my phone gets drawn down because of this persistent connection. I've taken to deleting the ear buds from my blue tooth list of devices and then re-adding them later on. Again, very frustrating.
Finally, the right ear bud will almost every time not pair to the left ear bud and/or the phone. I have to re-insert it into the charging case several times before it will connect. Sometimes I just have to shut down the whole app, place both ear buds in the case and then try again.
Like I said at the beginning. When they work they work just as advertised. However, getting them to work is a chore and I'm just about fed up.

Awesome Sound Quality

I own a pair of the Silencer 2.0 Bluetooth and while they are perfect for the range, the lack in becoming my everyday ear buds due to lower sound quality. The Disrupter's improved everything I was struggling to accept in the Silencer's. I believe the Silencer's would be good in office settings, but they lacked the sound quality when outside in nosier environments. I will say again the Silencer's are great at the range but the Disrupter's are great everywhere you want to take them. 5 out of 5.

I bought these ear buds a few weeks ago, wish I had these years ago , the ability to hear surroundings but muffle ear damaging noise is excellent so far , I'm 32 years old and I suffer from severe tinnitus, acquired from hunting without proper ear pro. these will come in handy when I go to Africa again ,put them in the ear and still be able to hear the PH whisper and still protect my hearing at the same time... so far I'm impressed ...they work and charge as they should . great product, only con is using in windy conditions with the pass through sound created a dull roar , I just turned down the amplification and was good to go . happy shooting happy hunting ...PROTECT YOUR HEARING OR LOOSE IT!
