A mostly excellent backpack for a variety of use cases, with some caveats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the PRVKE with the photography bundle, which includes the removable camera cube, waist straps and accessory straps. I really wanted a one backpack to do everything, that I could use for daily carry to work, for travel (size within the limits of most airlines' "personal item"), and day hikes/outdoor adventures. Aesthetically, I think we can agree it's a beautiful, sleek backpack, and the color options are definitely appreciated, though I recommend checking out some video reviews to see them under typical lighting conditions instead of product photos. I'm also curious how to the tarpaulin face will hold up over time, with dirt and wear. I think part of the appeal of the visual design is that minimal, smooth back, but I am skeptical about it after taking it through some rougher, outdoor conditions.Functionally, the bag does what bags should do: make carrying things easy. Weight feels evenly distributed on my back. Most days, the heaviest things I'm carrying are tech, just my laptop and iPad, and it feels like nothing. Adding additional weight, the highly adjustable sternum strap alleviates that. I did get the waist strap in the bundle, but I haven't loaded the bag yet enough to really warrant it. The padding is excellent, super comfortable. I'll have to see in warmer conditions how well breathable the back is, but as far as cushioning goes, no complaints. Expandable rolltop has come in handy for fitting larger objects, so I definitely appreciate the additional space for when I need it. I would warn against carrying a massive filled water bottle in the expandable pocket, even if it can accommodate wider sizes, because it can put more weight on one side. The other side of the bag doesn't have another pocket because it has the quick side access zip, so you can't balance it out as on some other backpacks.Probably my biggest gripe has to do with waterproofing. The conditions I tested it under were in urban walking, with around 40 minutes of constant rainfall (heavy, with some brief moments of letting up). The zips do their job in keeping out water, provided you have fully zipped them correctly. By and large, the PRVKE keeps your contents safe and dry. I haven't had issues with water getting into the main compartments or the front organization pocket either, but water has soaked through the back padding/mesh, and the side of the laptop closest to the back has ended up damp, but luckily it never got wet enough to seep into internals. I think the performance falls largely within Wandrd's marketing claims, and will probably hold up for people's typical use case conditions, but I do think it's still worth pointing out that water ingress is still possible in heavy rain.Overall though, pretty pleased with the bag and using it day to day, and excited to test it further for travel and hiking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having finished reading many reviews on camera bags, decided to order the Prvke.Going to Italy in March and wanted to travel with my Z9 and 4 lenses and gear, needed to have a personal item to fit under the airplane seat. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but looking forward to it and a 5 star experience. 4 stars so far, it's under the Xmas tree (I inspected it before it was wrapped)

And I still have space in the roll top to use as a over night bag for like a extra shirt or jacket

My new travel bag

I was leaving in a week and the staff was able to make sure I received it in time during the busy holiday rush. This bag is so well designed! It’s easy to store your photo gear, laptop, tablet, snacks, water bottle and even neck pillow while in transit. It has a built in chest strap which I found to be essential on long days. The size and expansion of this bag make it ideal for me because it can be for all types of travel. It’s also super important to me to have a bag that does not look like a traditional photo bag And has water protection. I got the rain fly which stores into the bottom pouch so easy. Zippers feel strong and try craftsmanship does too.I recommend it if you are a traveler. Looks good enough for the city too.

The quality is absolutely top notch, there’s definitely a rugged, yet premium feel to the bag. It’s almost too nice for my gear.
