An Awesome Bag!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a roll-top camera bag to replace my current bag, and looked at this one (the 31L) and a few others. This one was the clear winner in build quality and design. I’ve only been using the bag for a few weeks, but I’ve had no issues. It’s surprisingly comfortable to carry even with a computer and iPad in their slots in the back plate. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into its design! To change from 4/5 stars to 5/5 stars for me would be the improvements below, less confusion with the bag only version vs w/ the camera bundles, and the hip straps, attachment straps, and rain fly should be apart of the bag only version for this asking price. Two things I’d like to see improvements on to make this great bag the perfect bag: 1) Specific to the camera insert: The dividers in the camera insert are a little too large and do not fit well. The Velcro inserts feel cramped, and instead of creating nice, clean boxes for the lenses or cameras, they are squished. Also, the velcro dividers are Velcro on both sides causing the hook side not on the bag to rub/catch on gear. Most of my other camera bag shave Velcro on only one side to keep the soft side against gear. 2) The shoulder straps support the bag in a way that put the weight on the zipper. I don’t have any issues with it now, but I’m concerned about the longevity of the zipper. Perhaps moving the straps to the body of the bag or adding support straps with buckles connecting the shoulder straps to the bag could easy the load on the zipper. All of this is very nit-picky, but things I’d like to see improved on. Don’t let it dissuade you from buying the bag. It’s awesome and the attention to detail in the small things is what makes this bag. Great product!

I’ll admit that I was never quite sold on the design until I saw one in person. Now I’m kicking myself for not purchasing this 21L pack sooner. This is exactly the travel camera backpack I’ve been searching for.

The best bad guy, but might be too small

I cannot say enough about how amazing this company is and the product that they sell. I will say that this particular 21 L backpack might be a little too small for some people. In particular those with a 16 inch MacBook Pro laptop will find That it just fits if you are looking for more room I would recommend getting the next size up.
