As a Nose Trimmer it Excels.

The old adage is never truer, you get what you pay for. As a nose trimmer the Phillips 1500 is quite adequate and definitely gets the job done. However, as an eyebrow trimmer it simply did not work. The machine comes with an `eyebrow guard` that seems to render the machine useless. After numerous attempts I was unable to cut a single hair from my eyebrow. Without the guard I had minimal success. The trimmer on my electric shaver does a much better job. As for ear hair, I had the same problem. I was unable to get the trimmer to work properly. Again, the trimmer on my electric shaver did a much better job.
So, if you need a trimmer specifically for nose hair, at this price point , you cant go wrong and I highly recommend it. For other purposes? Forget about it.

This product surprised me. It is extremely quiet and cuts without pulling hair. I had to look to make sure it was actually working. Well made product that I would recommend to anyone.

The trimmer did a good job of removing hair and getting those hard to reach spots. The build quality seems like it’ll hold up and it’s simple to use.

Will last for years

This item works well. Prior to this, I had the series 5000 which came with a second head attachment for minor shape up, sideburns, and around the ear. I prefer this head over the 5000 for nose hair and eyebrow trimming. There is no pulling or any irritation from using it. Prior to the Norelco, I had several cheap versions that would break or stop working after a month or so. My previous one has lasted for about 4 years and still works to this day. These are very quality products, especially for something used for a few seconds a week, it becomes a nuisance to replace them, so it`s great to have one that you know will work for years.

Excellent experience

I was extremely impressed with the efficiency and versatility of this product. I used it on my mustache, nose, and ears to remove hair. The guard attachments allowed me to carefully manicure my mustache without leaving gouges.

Rolls Royse of trimmers

I have used trimmers before that might as have been tweezers. Those trimmers pulled so bad my eyes watered. The packaging leave something to be desired. Felt like I was breaking into Fort Knox! The trimmer also really felt good in my hand.

Good product, does its job well

This trimmer came at an ideal time--with my state under a shelter in place order, any incentive to trim my facial hair had gone out the window as I had no reason to leave my house. Upon receiving this trimmer, I immediately opened the box and noticed how light and foolproof the trimmer was. There are symbols on the device itself that show the user how to turn the device on and off and also how to open the trimmer to change the battery. Additionally, there are similar symbols at the top of the device that assist the user with removing the head of the trimmer. This allows for easier cleaning. With that in mind, one of the key features of this trimmer is the fact that it IS waterproof-so often I`ll be using electric razors, trimmers, or something similar and wish that the device was waterproof to make for simpler cleanup. This device being waterproof was a huge positive for me and, after using the feature, I can confirm that the device is definitely waterproof. Additionally, as noted above, I liked how light the device was and also like that the device came with a `guide` to use when trimming your eyebrows to prevent the unfortunate occurrence of shaving them off! As for dislikes go I was not entirely impressed with the power of the device. Sure, this is a nose hair trimmer and should not be used as a facial hair trimmer, but I felt that with the small footprint of the device/blades it would be incredibly helpful to use for smaller, quicker trimming jobs. Additionally, I tried to trim my eyebrows with the device and again ran into the power issue but also discovered that the device itself, while being easy to `use` is not the easiest to actually trim with. I was not sure where the blades were, where to position the device to get the most out of the blades, or how to even use the device itself to maximize its blades. With all of this said, the device worked well for trimming nose hair; it was the secondary trimmings (eyebrows, cleaning up edges of beard, trimming below nose) that it fell short. All in all, I would recommend this device as a very simple nose trimmer that is simple to use and light/small enough to be put away when not in use.
