I’ve been using Defenders for years so when I bought the iPhone X I thought I would go for a sleeker cover since the phone is slightly bigger. I prefer the rubber feeling of the defender and the built in screen cover.

I really do believe this the best case on the market for iPhone X. Smaller than the commuter series stronger than the defender series what more could you ask for? Is it perfect? No, but it’s pretty darn close. I do wish it included the screen protector preferably a tempered glass one. And sometimes the silence rocker switch isn’t the easiest But the fit is perfect the size is perfect and you can’t be protection.

I bought the Pursuit as a backup case for my iPhone X. It is definitely a nice and durable case for the outdoors which was my primary intent. It is bulky though and I would only use it on an exception, rugged basis - not for daily use. The case has a flap that is good for keeping dust out of the lightning port. However, it will not mount to a bed stand charger which is a bummer. A slider port cover would be so much better and wouls bring the rating up to at least a 4.

I got my mom the new iPhone X. Of Course, the first thing I do is order an OtterBox case to put it in. Straight from the box to the protective case, wearing gloves of course. This case was extra tight, to the point that it was difficult to separate the pieces to install the phone. But that, to me, means more secure and in the event that the phone is dropped it won’t fly apart, the phone doesn’t bounce around in the case, overall protection.

I am impressed with the quality of the Pursuit case for iPhone X. Thin design makes it easy to carry; buttons are easily accessed, including the mute switch. I had been using a Pursuit case on an iPhone 7 so this was a logical purchase for me. Would love to see a holster, similar to the one included with the Defender series.

While this case provides much protection to the phone, the quality of the case itself seems to be the only drawback.
- The case has more of plastic feel with a little grip from the rubber around the edges.
- Dust or lint can go into the space around the camera. There is no easy way to clean it but to dissemble the case, which is fairly hard to open.
- After a week or two, an inner rubber seam around the screen can be seen slipping out from its position. I have to use my nail to push it back in place. Very annoying. This happened with my first case, which caused me to exchange it. It is happening again with my second case.
- It is somewhat hard to push the buttons.
- Dust or lint can go into the space around the camera. There is no easy way to clean it but to dissemble the case, which is fairly hard to open.

Here are the good bits;

I might be in the minority among the reviews here, as I find the fact that Otterbox decided to remove a screen protector a good move. Simply because the screen protector usually makes navigating the content much harder - since there is a gap between the screen protector and the screen.
