I’m not happy with the case because I’m not able to put my phone on silent with the case on because the switch will not let me. I wish it was a better solution for it. This is the first case I’ve had that I didn’t like. The case look good on the phone though that’s all I can say good about it

Terrible case

I ordered my Otterbox as soon as it became available. I have never had a problem with the quality and functionality of Otterbox products, but this particular case in down right terrible. Like the other reviewers the switch on the side is non functional, also the rubber around the case is coming off. My husband is also experiencing the rubber coming off as well. I never experienced this lack of quality in an Otterbox product, and can’t believe it is being promoted as the most protective case when the rubber is coming off the sides.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been using defender cases for a long time. I would removed the plastic screen cover and put a piece of glass on the phone. The port covers are the best, no lint accumulation. Until the pursuit there wasn’t any that covered the exposed ports. This case is thinner, has grippage on the sides but still slides into the pocket easily. This one is a winner and could only get better with a lower price.

The up and down volume buttons are very hard to use and it is hard to tell if they are activating the buttons on the phone. The silence switch keeps the ringer off and doesn’t turn it on.

Seems more like life proof than outterbox, I’ve had otter box on all of my phones and this one is a a lot different. The defender on my other phones made me feel like my phone would be ok if I dropped it, this one however makes me be extra careful, I’ve dropped it once since I’ve had the cover on and the cover came apart. The phone was not harmed but it gave me little confidence in protection. The side buttons are hard to push but I got used to that...the clear back is cool and the bulkiness of the defender isn’t missed.

Coming from the Defender on the 6S I feel like I jumped into the future with this phone & case. I got the two tone Autumn case and it looks great. Already getting a lot of compliments and it easily stands out (in a good way). Much thinner than previous case but feels just as sturdy. Very smooth but not to the point of me being afraid of it slipping around. Fits great in the hand. Also its a BIG plus that the bottom speakers project the sound to the front of the screen so you can watch it head on and not need to cup your hand around the bottom, it comes straight at you. For that alone this case is worth the price. Great case and worth the investment.

I’ve had otterbox cases for my iPhone 6&7, and have loved them. I just put my pursuit case on my new iPhone X. I love it, except for one problem. I use an edge to edge tempered glass screen protector on my phone. Because of the Pursuit’s hard edged case, it causes the screen protector to lift, causing bubbles. I didn’t have this issue with the defender series case that I used on my iPhone 6&7. If it wasn’t for that issue, I would have definitely given this case a 5 star review.
