The two volume buttons are very hard to press. I had two covers and they both were hard to press. I went with a different series and it worked fine.

As for the volume buttons, the case does have to be very specifically installed in order to work seamlessly with the iPhone X. I bought this case around three weeks ago. I like the case besides that just sunspot carrying in your pocket with scratch it therefore defeating the pourpose of a clear case to see your phone. The seals sometimes poke out around the front edge of the phone and you have to push them back in. It also does not come with a screen protector built in. I am very disappointed in this case. The defender would’ve been the better way to go.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The clear back scratches very easily. The front housing also has a few issues where the foam gasket doesn’t sit cleanly. Protection very good overall.
