I love the clear back and slim look. But I don’t know how it will stand up to the traditional otter box. Even though I love the clear back I realize it’s way more slippery than the rubber back. Cosmetic wise it looks great but don’t know how it will hold up with drops

Design Error!

I loved my Otter Box for my other iPhone. But the case for the iPhone X has the speaker holes in the wrong place. The X speakers are on the bottom the speaker holes on the Otter Box are on the front. Therefore VERY POOR reception if your talking on the phone. And the volume is bad if you’re listening to music or Audiobooks!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

aesthetically unpleasing back border

I was hoping for a cleaner look. I love the clear back of the case, but the semi-opaque "rivety" rear side border makes it just plain ugly and cheap in appearance, in my opinion. The border should have been black like the front and the case would have been more appealing. If I could find a substance to paint it that would hold up I would do it in a flash.
Or better yet, they could have made the front border crystal clear as well as the back border (as they did with some of their cheaper cases) I think I will order the Strada Folio and return this case. It really is that unpleasing in appearance.

Fantastic protection, mushy buttons.

I have full confidence that this case will protect my phone from any drop it might experience. I love how slim it is and it slides in and out of my pockets very easily. With the case, my iPhone X is almost exactly the same size as a 6 or 7-plus is by itself. My only negative so far is that the side buttons are super mushy. If they felt more crisp to press, I'd give it 5 stars without hesitation.

Protective case slim design

I like how otter box cases really skimmed down since the previous models. The one thing I don’t like about the case is how the volume buttons are hard to press. The ring silence switch button is also hard to use but since I have an Apple Watch I am okay not having it ring. I just wish it fit a bit better. Besides that putting on the case is not very difficult and I do like how the rubber along the side of the case makes it easier to hold.

Had it for two months now, and combined it with the Otter Box screen protector. dropped the phone several times and no issues. The ringer on/off switch that others complain about was no problem. A little knowledge goes a long way there.
My only complaint: the case is too smooth and is part of the reason I’ve dropped the phone. I added a silicone credit card holder/sleeve to the back and that has helped. I may cut one up to add to the sides for extra grip. Hey Otter Box, there’s a marketing idea for you; you’re welcome.

Just got the new black/clear pursuit case for my new iPhone X... It’s not a bad case. Durable and well made. Just not what I was expecting. Don’t like the way it looks or how it fits. Kinda ugly on the back and the side buttons are hard for my big fingers to use. It is also extremely difficult to take apart if you ever needed to. I like to clean inside the case so that’s an issue for me. I’d much rather have the commuter or defender series. Still a diehard and loyal OtterBox fan though.
