I received it last night and found it difficult to open and put on my iPhone X. The back piece cracked while taking it off after the side pieces had not lined up to control the ringer. The directions are not clear. Words would be helpful rather than just a diagram and there was no additional info on the website. I find it difficult to use the ringer on/off button and to use the other side control buttons. I’ve had many Otter Boxes and have loved them. This one-not so much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have always used otterbox cases to protect my iPhone since the 5s models. This is the first time that I had a problem. After jus two weeks the foam seal on the front starts to push out of the case and on to the screen.

I’ve owned Otter Boxes forever. There’s no other case I’d rather have. This one however I’ve had trouble with. The edge where the volume buttons are doesn’t fit very well. It’s like the button don’t fit in the case.

I am a long time Defender Case purchaser for my entire family and work Apple products. This case is one of the most difficult to get the phone into so all of the buttons work. The ringer on/off switch does not engage the case’s switch sufficiently enough to operate properly. Now the case rubber around the screen area is coming off the case. I wanted a little more compact case, I could have spent a third of the cost of this case and received higher quality. This case is not even a month old. Do not waste your money on this case.

The mute button design on the product is a nightmare. It’s very hard to install the phone and have the button work. There are also zero instructions on the proper proceedure, and even that may not work. My mute button even installed correctly only works part of the time. Hopefully this design glitch will be fixed because other than that tiny but important factor it’s a great box.

I love that this case is super thin but durable. There are two design flaws, in my opinion. First there is a "switch" that is supposed to turn the mute button but it rarely works. The case also doesn't completely snap together around the volume buttons. I do love the colors and like I said, it is very thin but for the amount of money I paid for it, these other issues should be nonexistent.

Bought this case 2 weeks ago to protect our iPhone Xs'. Mine has the clear back and my wife's has the solid black back. These are much slimmer than the Otterbox cases that covered our Iphone 6 Plus'. I can see that the clear back case will get scratched over time, but I like the fact that I can see the original color of the Iphone.
