[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good game for older kids. I really enjoyed playing it with my family. The little kids felt left out but the grown ups and big kids enjoyed a lot!!!!

Improved version of Avalon hill game
on June 28, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3rd edition of Betrayal at House on the Hill is more approachable than the 2nd edition. The rules are more easier to follow and simple enough for anyone to pick up. The only cons of the third edition is that the haunts are a little lackluster. There are also less haunts compared to the first and second edition. Overall, this edition is an improvement from the other games and a fun board game to play.

Fun but room for improvement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Betrayal at House on the Hill is a fun and engaging game with a wonderfully spooky atmosphere and fantastic artwork. The concept of exploring a haunted mansion that changes each game is creative and keeps things interesting. The illustrations and overall design really help bring the game to life.
That said, the game can be a bit confusing at times. The directions could be worded more clearly, especially for new players. Also, while the idea of having dozens of different haunts is cool in theory, in practice, some of them feel unbalanced—either the traitor is way too strong or don’t stand a chance. Fewer, better-developed haunts would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.
Despite these issues, it’s still a fun game that’s great for a group looking for a story-driven experience with a spooky twist.

Great quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packing and quality of the game is great. Looks like it’ll last over the years and not cheaply made. That being said this genre isn’t my favorite so the game was alright but not what my family would usually play. I’m sure people who like this genre more would enjoy it. It does take at least 3 people to play so be aware that it’s best for game night with friends or other adult family.

Perfect Spooky Season Game
on July 29, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun, immersive and engaging collaborative game! Just the right amount of spooky. Rey detailed and in depth. Game pieces and packaging are high quality and on theme. Putting the game away after first use in the packaging is awkward, not necessarily ample space for all the pieces.

Unique board game for house parties
on August 15, 2025
Posted by: shwetaa3_1252
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A classic party/board game that shines with the right group of players. If you want tight mechanics, look elsewhere—but if you want spooky laughs and unpredictable stories, Betrayal delivers.
