Just what I was looking for. I’ve had an otterbox symmetry case for the last five years and loved it. When I upgraded to an iPhone X I went straight to otterbox to pick out a case. The only problem was this time with the size of the phone and the size of the case, it was too big to easily manage my phone with one hand. I was very excited to see a new thin symmetry case released and it was exactly what I needed!

I have to say, I like this case even more than I expected to. I've never purchased an Otterbox before because of the perceived bulkiness. I like slim cases! But it had been on my mind to try the Symmetry, so I came to the website and looked around. The unusual design and color of "That Willow Do" caught my eye and I ordered it.
When the case came, I love how it looked! But I had a devil of a time getting it on my phone!! I was about to give up and return it, reluctantly, but tried one more time. I must have done it just right, because as I pressed on each corner it snapped on. After it was on my phone I was really in love with it. It looks good, feels good, the buttons are very clicky (best part!) and I even think it might be my favorite case! I have the Apple leather, which I love, and a Spigen ultra-hybrid that I like (not love). But this Otterbox might keep me from buying more cases - which is quite a feat for me! I love cases....
If only it was not so difficult to put on, which causes me to anticipate that it is going to be a pain to remove, I would say it is the perfect case! (It does show some scratches on the hard plastic back too, but with this color they are hard to see.)
The sides of the case are nice and "tacky" soft, so they offer good grip - not slick at all.
All-in-all love it, but it just can't be 5 stars when it is so difficult to get on! At least for me.... But thanks Otterbox for a great case otherwise! :)

Great Sleek Case

This case fits very well and makes the phone feel natural to hold. It's got enough depth to protect the phone but not too much that it takes away from the thin design of the device. The back of the case has a very subtle texture that is just right, perfect for holding the phone but not obnoxious like some cheap cases. As for the important part, I have launched this phone 7+ feet into the air and had it land on tile a few times, and it's survived everything. I really feel like I got my moneys worth with this case

I’ve had the Otterbox Symmetry (new thinner design) on my iPhone XS for a week now.
I’m happy, though I haven’t tested the drop protection!
Exterior is easy to grip, while at the same time not being so rubbery as to have dirt stick easily.
I’m not gentle with my iPhone, or case, and this Otterbox case has so far remained unmarred. (Already been in many pockets, a few times with keys!)
I’m using the plain black case. It is unobtrusive, almost sleek, and doesn’t take up too much space. This is nice in that I can fit the phone in my hand well, and it fits in my pocket easily... not so nice when I wander how much drop protection I’m really getting! Hopefully the best of both worlds! If I wanted more protection and more space taken up I would have bought the Defender.
Easy to put on phone. Buttons are smooth and sound/microphone/charger unimpeded.

Have had this cover for about two weeks and can safely say it lives up to the expectations. It’s not to bulky but still has plenty of protecting for normal use. It is a very easy installation since it is a one piece case. And most important of all it goes a little beyond the screen so that the screen is protected even if you drop it right on the screen.

Not near as good as my previous otterbox case. This is mainly made of hard plastic and it's extremely slippery. You can't lean tge phone against something because it will slip.
