I baught this mower because it is light weight, small, easy to start, use and maintain, had a collection bag, and is quiet. I was not dissappointed at all!
I need a light machine that is easy to maintan and start by myself because my husband and I are old and we have injuries and limited physical abilities. I need a collection bag because it is physically difficult for us to rake. I need a small unit because we have huge pine trees in our yard and I need to mow between the surface roots. I need a quiet machine because my neighbor works nights and sleeps during the day. This machine is everything I need and want and it is more powerful and hardyy than I immagined it would be.
I thought I would have to rake up the pine cones and twigs before I mowed but this little maching picks up 99% of them.
It mowed right throught the tall thick grass and didn't even flinch.
The collection bag is just the right size. I can do a good sized section (about 10'x10') of the yard before I have to empty the bag. If the bag was bigger I wouldn't be able to lift it when it's full. When my hand starts to get tired fom holding the safety switch, it's time to empty the bag. It's prefect for me.

I have never been "brand loyal" before. This is the second item I have purchased from Sun Joe and I am now loyal to the brand and the company. I'm lookig forwad to winter so I can get some Snow Joe products too :)

The mower was purchased from Home Depot online and arrived in a smashed up carton, after a delivery delay whereby the “shipping label became detached from the carton.” After the initial shock of the poor delivery experience and horrible condition of the carton, I was happy to see that the mower inside showed no visible signs of damage and no missing parts. The mower was relatively easy to assemble. It is perfect for my townhouse yard (approx. 30x18 feet), with a slight slope. The mower is easy to push and turn, and is fairly quiet. The mower motor seems powerful for its size, and so far it seems to cut the grass cleanly. I have the height set at maximum and it seems to cut the grass to a length that looks tidy while at the same time keeping it long enough to prevent drying out. The grass catcher works well, is easy to detach and empty, and is usually about 3/4 full by the time I finish. The cutting height is adjusted by snapping the 4 wheels into different slots underneath, and if you go over a bump or don’t quite have one wheel securely snapped in, you may find the mower suddenly not level, as happened to me the first time. The mower is fairly easy to carry in and out of the back door, and stores in a small space with the handle folded in half. Considering the price, this mower is a lot for the money. The free extended warranty offered during online warranty registration was a nice bonus too.
