The Waterpik itself worked great! I HIGHLY recommend purchasing one!!! (Especially if you have braces like me) The problem with this model in particular is that its battery powered, and you have to change the batteries out every 10-11 days. I bought this one because it was significantly cheaper than most models but honestly, when you have to purchase 3 new batteries every 10 days, you've spent as much as you would on a countertop model within the span of a few months. Don't waste your money, just buy a better one. You get what you pay for.

Hello Jlaira - We are sorry that you are unhappy with the product. The average customer will replace batteries every 6-8 weeks. How long the batteries will last is not only determined by the type and quality of the battery, but also how often the unit is used. If multiple people are using the unit and/or it gets used multiple times a day, the batteries will need to be replaced more frequently. Effective. The process to refill water chamber which must be done at least once each oral treatment cycle and is clumsy. It is clumsy as it requires detachment and reattachment of the chamber to body of device which is not a smooth operation. I would suggest a port on side of water chamber to allow water to flow into chamber either from faucet or a small pour cup. The chamber could still be removable to facilitate cleaning. Aside from this detraction the unit provides good portable function and is operationally servicable. It works.
