My portable model travels well, doesn't need a plug, easy to use and makes my gums and teeth feel so good. I'm low maintenance type of person, but using this, well, all I have to say is that I wish I purchased one and started using it years ago. Worth every penny and the time I take to use it.

The battery life is awful and the water only allows for about 20-30 seconds of flossing. Mine did 1 week past the 1 year warranty - would NOT buy again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Being battery operated, the water stream is not consistent. Tend to feed more batteries than expected. Having rechargeable batteries could make it more convenient.

The batteries are designed to last about one month with daily use, though their lifespan can vary based on the type and quality of the battery as well as how frequently the unit is used. Both Alkaline batteries and NiMH rechargeable batteries are suitable for this product.
