No matter what I do the tip will not stay affixed to the device. I have followed the directions and had another Waterpik user try it out. My device seems to be defective and unusable.

Works great. Would have gotten one with a bigger water canister as I do have the larger model at my NY home but as a 2nd one for here in FL where I do not have a bathroom plug in socket this manages to do the trick. I just fill it several times per use.
