Compact, convenient and simple operation

Tough little utility knife

Bought this a few years ago and have changed the blade many times. Easy to do and never a problem. I do wish it was a tiny bit thicker to add a different type blade so I can change blade quickly when working on different materials. I agree that all the parts should be made of an aluminum alloy though. Then it would be a 5 star.

Sturdy, well built knife, requires break-in time

This is one handy knife and works Great!!! However out of the box it didnt start off that way. The button for changing the blades got stuck in position inside the part the folds out and holds the blade for use. After smacking it a few times on the palm of my hand it went back into place and hasnt given me problems since. the only other issue I has was figuring out how to open the blad compartment. That instruction was missing from the packaging. Once that was figured out its been a great little performer and easy to use. I think the problem with this specific mode (100035) had to do with the assembly. Once all the "gremlins from sub par assembly were worked out the knife is and extremely reliable tool. Dont let the other reviews keep u from getting this gem, most of the negative review are for other models of this knife. I recommend when u get this one home, that you give it a couple solid smacks into the palm of your hand with it unfolded but with the blade with fully inside. press the button a few times and keep smacking it till the button springs back readily and then ur good to go. Not knowing to do this i spent almost half an hour cursing dewalt till the idea came to smack the blade holding section a few times. I highly recommend Dewalt has a blade changing test added to the quality control for this model. Please dont retire this design based on bad reviews. It works great once the blade changing button issue is shaken out. Maybe a small piece constricting spring/button movement could resolve this without having to up the price...consider it a small expense to remove the cost of handling so many unnecessary returns. I plan to buy 10 of this specific model(10035) Since it works so exceedingky well when this minor issue is shaken out of the knife.

Horrible product

Horrible product. Blades will not stay in or lock in. Useless button will not work. You got my money but you should be embarrassed. No more Dewalt for me

Good grip and holds 3 extra blade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this knife the last few days and a few things that stand out is it has a nice grip, it holds 3 spare blades and folds up to be more compact then a standard box cutter. Seems to be well made and should last a long time!

My pocket while on the job .and not worry about loosing it .and the ease of changing the blade is gonna be a awesome time saver .keep up the great job with all ur products.i already know what I'm gonna buy my friends for Christmas .thank you

good weight and very sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this utility knife for about a week now and it is super durable. I've dropped it countless times from a ladder and the metal casing shoes minimal damage. I'm impressed with the blade storage on the hand body. The retractable knife portion is the same as most other utility knives. Over all design is great and I would definitely recommend it.
