Flat blade missing

Mine didn't come with the flat blade that is attached to the lock, so I can't even finish it

Extra poor quality.

Won't program properly. Followed instructions, re-installed, etc. Unlocked when I wanted it to lock, half unlocked sometimes, didn't remember codes. Totally scrambled hardware.

Hello Pops56,

We're here to help you! The lock is working backward because of the installation and handing. Here are the steps to fix this:

1. Open the door and place the latch in the locked position.
2. Remove the interior assembly of the lock.
3. Check that the flat blade piece is in the vertical position. See Section 4-B.
4. And ensure that the turn-piece is also in vertical position when reinstalling the interior assembly.
5. Perform the Factory Reset and Door Rehanding process in Step 15.
6. Program the User Codes.

Not long lasting

This product worked for exactly one month now refuses to lock. I’ve reset it multiple times both factory reset and re-handling. I’ve also added user codes and deleted user codes, and this thing will not work.

We're happy to help you! To fix this, please try a new set of batteries and follow these steps:

1. Check the installation, and ensure that the flat blade is installed in the vertical position, while the deadbolt latch is in the locked position. Also, check that the cable is secure and tucked away from the spindle.

Worked for a year, now looking for a replacement

Worked for about a year, but now the buttons don't reliably work. Specifically the enter button and one number. It's like they just don't register. I also noticed in cold weather the lock is completely unresponsive. Not East Coast cold - just pacific northwest 30 degree weather.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought 3. Only one worked. One would not lock. The other would unlock the deadbolt half way. I returned all 3.

easy to install as long as you follow instructions

I bought this lock today and it was easy to install, but I failed to follow the instructions as to have the bolt out when installing. Because of that when I programmed the handling it jammed. I disassembled, followed instructions and it worked perfectly. And the embarrassing part is that I install Qwikset locks all the time as a finish carpenter!!!!! Love the fact that Qwikset locks can be re-keyed easily!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
