I was so excited about these speakers, however, I FULLY A CHARGED two Flip 7s (to work together) and they somehow died within 3 hours and gave me problems ALL day connecting after that. I am so incredibly disappointed. The sound quality was otherwise amazing (when it did work).

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The published up to playtime of our JBL Flip 7 reflects the maximum battery life at low volume. Higher volume and boosted bass will reduce playtime—similar to how a phone battery drains faster with a brighter screen. We'd like to work with you directly to address and help with all of your concerns regarding the battery life, and connection issues, please contact us directly here: https://support.jbl.com/us/en/#contact
First time I’ve bought a jbl that came with no charger…I saw they replied to another review talking it’s about customers should already have one. Sorry I no longer have that type of chord anymore? Now I have to go buy a charger just for the speaker. Ridiculous. I’m almost just considering returning it, and finding a speaker that will actually include a charger. Prices keep going up, and we keep getting less? Sounds about right.

Thanks for your feedback. We understand that our JBL Flip 7 not including a charging cable did not meet your expectations. In an effort to reduce electronic waste, our JBL Flip 7 and many of our newer models no longer include a charging cable in the box. The unit is compatible with any standard USB-C cable you may already have from other devices. If you need further assistance regarding the charging cable, feel free to contact us directly here: https://support.jbl.com/us/en/#contact
I ordered the personalized speaker about a month ago, and I am VERY happy with my purchase. It was delivered pretty quick for it being a customized item, the sound is amazing, the battery lasts forever and recharges fast, and it looks SO good. Only thing i’m noticed is the print on the pause/play and volume buttons is coming off a little bit.
This product claims to have up to 16 hours of battery life and that's a flat out lie. It took over 10 hours to "fully charge" and was completely dead after barely 3 hours of use at half volume. The battery life is absolutely trash on this thing and I'd recommend buying a different brand for the money. Jbl used to be good, don't know what happened, probably outsourced their parts and labor to countries with cheap child labor and it shows.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The published up‑to playtime of our JBL Flip 7 reflects the maximum battery life at low volume. Higher volume and boosted bass will reduce playtime—similar to how a phone battery drains faster with a brighter screen. In many cases, the battery is functioning normally but depletes faster under louder listening conditions. To check battery health, charge the unit to 100% and play music at a very low volume with no bass boost. If the playtime is close to the published specification, the battery is performing properly.
