I bought the his as a gift for our teen’s birthday. We are so glad we did. JBL provides durability for outdoor use with clean, clear sound and substantial volume. We customized the speaker for our son and it turned out exactly as expected!
Product sounds great but the battery is the worst. I have had dollar store speakers last for days. This battery can be fully charged and only last a few hours before dying. Do not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback with our JBL Flip 7. It has a published up-to playtime of up to 16 hours which is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Please charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact us directly here: https://support.jbl.com/us/en/#contact
I don’t appreciate that it is marketed as water proof when it is not water proof. My feedback is to market it as water resistant to stop deceptive advertising.

Thanks for your feedback. Our JBL Flip 7 is rated IP68, which means it is both dustproof and waterproof and can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Any exposure beyond these limits is not recommended and may affect the speaker's performance or protection.
This is the worst speaker I have ever had the displeasure of spending my hard-earned money on. Dies after 3-3.5 hours.

I charge the battery over night and it still dies while I’m at work even while plugged in. The battery sucks. This happened to my last JBL so I bought this new one. Won’t be buying another ever again.
