Great Speaker

JBL outdid themselves with this one. It’s great for every circumstance, pool parties, BBQ’S, you name it this speaker delivers. It’s durable sounds AMAZING, and the battery life is more than I need. After owning this for six months it has gotten to scratches and marks, but it still works great. All features work better than they were intended. For this field of speakers, this IS the best.

Does not sync with other flips

The Flip 7 does not sync with Flip 6 or Flip 5. It is not clearly stated in the product specs.

We appreciate your feedback. Our JBL Flip 7 isn't compatible with the JBL Flip 6 and JBL Flip 5 for connecting or syncing. Our JBL Flip 7 features Auracast, while the JBL Flip 6 and JBL Flip 5 use the JBL PartyBoost feature. These two features are not compatible, meaning you won’t be able to link the speakers for synchronized playback. To connect multiple JBL speakers with the JBL Flip 7, they must support the same feature, such as the JBL Charge 6, Xtreme 4, Clip 5, or Go 4, which support Auracast feature.

Almost perfect!

I recently bought the JBL flip 7, and I have to say I'm super impressed by the sound quality. It is defintely a step up from the Flip 5 and 6 that I owned. However the only downside is the battery life defintely seems noticeably worse. It is still a somewhat reasonable length of time per charge, but unfortunate that it isn't as long as the previous generations!
