Battery is horrible dies after 3 hours after being fully charged

Thanks for your feedback on our JBL Flip 7. The published up-to-playtime is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Please try to charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boost, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to-playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, this likely means that the battery is losing its capacity. I’ve waited a long time to pull the trigger on this investment. Pretty bummed, it only stays charged for a couple hours. Not the kind of battery life I wanted for the price. Disappointing

I’ve had this speaker less than a month. When I try to plug it in to charge, all the buttons light up and the speaker beeps, and the speaker won’t charge. Extremely frustrating considering the price and how long I’ve had it. It was a great speaker before it randomly stopped working.

my Flip 4 battery finally wore out. Looked at how to replace it, and found I would have to dismanel the entire unit. Chose to get the Flip 7, and it is excellent.
Overall the speaker is great! The only thing is that the charger port seems to have problems charging the speaker…

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Here are some steps that may fix the charging issue. Initiate a power cycle by pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds while the unit is not plugged into a power source. Use a different charging cable, power adapter, and, while it's extremely uncommon, try to use another wall outlet to be certain that the issue is not with the outlet. Also, sand and dirt can get into the product's charging port. Clean the charging port with compressed air. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support.
