My first purchase and I am very happy to say that this product does what the manufacturer says. I've cooked with this from setting 2 all the way to 6. I love the crispiness that level 6 brings, but if I make a triple batch recipe of waffles, then I cook them at 2 to make toaster waffles. Simply perfect. I also had the opportunity to cook sausage on the pancake plate. Using the guide provided with the unit the patties were cooked perfectly when set at level 5. Thanks Cuisinart for a well constructed product.

Love this machine. Easy to use. Makes crispy, perfect waffles. Very pleased. Highly recommend. Waffles come out best using number “4”.

Love this. Timer is great. Doesn’t stick. Very easy to use and clean. Much better then the single waffle makers.

Had my eye on this before I purchased another brand that "flips" w/ removable plates, didn't like that it only made one round waffle in four sections and how it wasn't storage friendly.
THIS waffle maker however is FANTASTIC!!!! The first use I used veg. spray on the plates, but I found that you don't need to, for now anyway.
As long as the plates hold up and don't have any unforeseen issues I highly recommend this waffle maker to anyone who loves waffles!!

So Far SOOO GOOD. We've made waffles and pancakes which turned out just fine, eggs and sausage are down the road. We use Krusteaz pancake mix and Krusteaz corn muffin mix together. 1 cup of each. Then just follow the recipe on the pancake bag for the tastiest and most filling pancakes and waffles ever!

Waffles and Pancakes, On How They Stack Up

I like this Waffle/Pancake maker, but not as i do some of the other Cuisnart items i have purchase. First of, quality is somewhat lacking. It’s not as nicely made as i would have preferred it, especially for the price. It works real well as a waffle maker, but in the video and the instructions that it should only use a certain amount and that the full area to be used should be limited (poured in the middle and to help prevent spillage) The problem i have is that it is designed to make four individual waffles, but an uneaten spread gives less of an unequal amount per waffle. The waffles do come out fluffy and browned just right. I do not go higher than the number 3 due to the fact that the growing is much darker.
As for the pancakes, they require the non-waffle plate and are somewhat of a joke. I am not sure hoq it was meant to be used, but it comes four very small places to put your pancake batter and if you use those patterns, you only truly coke on one side and barely cook on the other when you close the lid. If you over pour the patter to get it to cook both sides at the same time, they lose their pancake look. Another oddity, is that the pancakes are only about three inches in diameter, which in my opinion, are somewhat uncomfortable small, especially for stacking for an adult.

So far I am very happy with this product. Love the waffles. I have used the plate with rounds to make scrambled egg patties for breakfast sandwiches. Love that too! I have reheated bacon on the plates, but have not cooked raw bacon.
