I am making waffles almost every weekend. It's so easy with the nonstick plates and the automatic timer. My grandson, who is 9, helped me to make and eat them last weekend. Lots of fun, as well as good eats.

I am coming from an Oster DuraCeramic round Belgian waffle maker. It was ok and they never stuck but the waffles were always just soft. They didn’t get that nice crispy exterior. The Cuisinart Belgian Waffle Maker leaves them perfectly crispy on the outside and just the right balance of soft, fluffy, and chewy on the inside. Clean up is a breeze with the removable waffle plates. Most of the time I just wipe them off. But you can pop them in the dishwasher if you want/need to.

The unit is a little clumsy with all the plates and storage. Would be nice to have a compact all-in-one package for storing the unit, cord, and plates. Other than that, the machine works quite well.
