I purchased this appliance about a month ago. It does everything advertised. Makes great pancakes and waffles and actually beeps when they are ready. Even tried making a breakfast sandwich from the recipe in the booklet and thT worked too. Love this gadget!

I wanted a waffle maker with removable plates, and preferably belgian waffles (ie thicker). It works really well, and I love being able to wash them (I'm gluten free but live with gluten-eaters, so I'm always concerned about cross-contaimination). It washes easily and isn't too big to store.

Should have plates available for regular waffles too. Have tried a number of Belgian receptors but none make light, fluffy ones. Old iron did all these but did not last and they went out of business....

I've used it 3 or 4 times and the waffles have turned out perfect each time. I've never had to use a cooking spray prior to pouring the batter. Great way to change up weekend breakfast ideas!
