Absolutely love this louvered pergola We face west towards the mountains and the sun is so intense This was the perfect solution Not only has it extended our living room to the deck the great design with drainage systems allows us to sit outside when it rains Sharing start to finish photos!

Backyard Oasis Coming Together!

I just bought the 12x12 Grey Pergola and 2 privacy walls! Absolutely love the quality, design, and adjustable louvers If you’re on the fence this is a phenomenal buy to upgrade your backyard We just underwent a pretty substantial backyard project We extended concrete, put in a 6 person hot tub, and bought this pergola to go over the top for some shade and privacy Some helpful tips for both the pergola and privacy wall install
Definitely need two people It took me and my wife about 5 hours start to finish to assemble the entire pergola Nothing is extremely heavy its just substantially easier with 2 people when your standing it upright and connecting crossbeams The privacy wall was about another 8 hours broken up over a couple days, but I also fully enclosed 2 sides Take your time and follow the instructions Everything is super well laid, instructions are crystal clear, and in order for a reason We did not have to disassemble anything from start to finish Also you’re going to want a drill or two and two nice screw drivers, so both people can install the plethora of screws You need a hammer drill to anchor into the concrete Skip their concrete anchors and just got buy 3/8 anchor sleeves at lowes or HomeDepot it will make your life significantly easier A good ladder would be very helpful We were able to get by with a 3 step ladder but definitely made it more challenging when we had to install screws on the top at the end
For the Privacy wall, no one mentioned this but DO NOT anchor the legs of the pergola into the concrete before installing the privacy wall I got EXTREMELY lucky that I measured everything out and made sure the posts were upright, level, and squared before I anchored them When I went to install the privacy wall I was within 1/16th of an inch of it almost being a total disaster Had I not made sure it was square and level there would have been no way for me to install the walls No one mentioned this on the privacy wall in the comments, nor in the instructions Also get yourself a good magnetic Philips head bit, or a bit that really locks into the heads of the screws for when you go to attach the walls to the posts It’s very difficult to thread them thru the posts with little to no wiggle room Another helpful tip is I also used wood clamps to hold the wall in place when I was drilling into the pergola posts and connecting the walls so they were square and upright so it made it go much smoother
To summarize Buy the Pergola, it’s worth it, the privacy walls are a must if you want additional shade or a more finished look Wait to anchor posts down until after privacy wall install Get anchor 3/8 anchor sleeves, 3/8 masonry bit, hammer drill, wood clamps, magnetic Phillips head, and a good ladder You won’t regret it!

We installed this pergola on our deck, and it looks fantastic—sleek, modern, and really enhances the space The adjustable roof is a great feature, and we now spend so much more time outdoors It’s solid, good-looking, and worth every penny Highly recommend!

Two workers assembled our pergola and then built the planters around it. It is beautiful and functional. We love the louvres and it has helped keep the sun off our patio so the house stays cooler.
