I have limited counter space around my sink so this unit was appealing. However I find it bulky and cumbersome to use. The tank capacity is also rather limited so I usually need to fill the tank twice. It is probably more for use when traveling or if you plan on using it while showering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Waterpik removes food particles better than just brushing. This is especially true of the area around my implant/crown.

Lousy battery

Battery died within 6 months after purchase. Was actually used a total of 6 weeks of that time (during travel). About halfway thru that time, the motor began to get noticeably weaker and weaker, until it became utterly useless. The only operable items remaining at the end were the Hi-Med-Lo LED lamps, which at that point were also useless, without enuf juice to run the motor. Recharging did nothing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
