The water splashes all over the place: It's very unwieldy and hard to direct at teeth at the back of the mouth. I bought it on my dental hygienist's recommendation and I'm not sure it's doing any good at all.

Hello, Seren - We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that you found the WP-560 difficult to use. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the key is to keep your mouth partially closed and look down into your sink. Here is a link for a quick how-to: https://youtu.be/l02dBOdOxtU

Cordless vs Countretop

Our Waterpik waterflosser Model WP-150W died after years of faithful service. We selected a cordless modal because we thought it would replace our countertop model. I give it three stars because it is a good model to take on trips. But, the tank is too small and the pressure generated by the battery driven pump is too weak. If you want a travel model, it's OK. If you want a strong pressure stream, buy a countertop model as we intend to and we will mothball the cordless model except for trips.

Hello Dave36 - We are sorry that you are not completely satisfied with the product. This model is designed to be small as it is intended for those who travel and/or have little counter space. Some users may find it necessary to fill the reservoir more than once. If you are finding it to be a hassle to refill the reservoir, a countertop model would be a better fit. The pressure is medium pressure as it goes from 45-75. Countertops may deliver up to 100 PSI. If you need any assistance, please let us know! You can email us at smreviews@waterpik.com or call 1-800-525-2774. We would be happy to help.
water pressure is week buttons on device are easy to hit resulting in water spraying when you do not want it too!

Hello snsh - The WP-580 has a pressure of 80 PSI on high. Although the pressure is not as high as our counter top models, it does not make it any less effective. Here's a link to our how-to video that shows how to use the product without making a mess: https://youtu.be/l02dBOdOxtU
I like the new WP-580, especially the additional speed choice compared to my previous water pik. It works great and seems to keep a stronger charge than my previous water pik. Since I use my new WP-580 twice daily, it needs to be charged once a week, just like my previous Water Pik, which was also portable and rechargeable. My only negative comment is that it is not possible to stand the unit upright to air-dry after using, unless you keep the water chamber in place and connected, but you must remove the chamber to shake out excess water after using, so both parts will air dry. After I gently use a clean hand towel to wipe the unit dry, I place the handle piece of the WP-580 on its side on the back of my bathroom sink counter to finish air drying until it’s next use. I keep the water chamber separate and with the flap open to air dry when I am finished using it as well. Overall, I am very happy with the new WP-580; it just takes a little getting used to after using my original one for 3 years, before I had to replace it.
